Tried it, didn't like it. Are you running 4" or 5" springs?
I like to balance an internal spring behind the piston to the outer spring weight giving a) a bit of limiting (the amount of volume that the spring takes up) b) a lower ride height than standard and c) the articulation of the longer spring when needed. So, semi-droop for me. Depends on the chassis, the set up and how you prefer it. I also find that Losi golds on Losi 4" shocks work well without a "helper" but I still use av. light internal. I also like a rising rate spring and stronger internal balance spring on the the longer 5" shock but I've gravitated to 4" over time.
