Mkay prolly a stupid question but WTF is this and is there any bennifit to installing the extra set I have in my RTC kit... Ive never cracked open the axles so I cant picture where it goes and searching google is extreamly light on detail of what it really is

those are spider gears, incase you choose to remove the locker and have an "open" front (or rear) diff.
