Default bad gear mesh...?

i have had the 40/13 gears in the rear for a while, i just rebuilt with some aluminum lock outs and beefy axles, now have about 50% of the full rotation binding up, it turns but has a bad area that doesn't mesh properly, any ideas on what might need to happen? i already rebuilt it a couple times, maybe i got a bad set of gears? no movement on the pinion gear unlike the stock ones where it can move in and out a little bit, it will work but it's not smooth like all my other ones are

Check the pinion depth again. You may have it to deep into the ring gear. This would create binding due to runout of ring gear.

like i said, the pinion doesnt move in or out like the stock gears do so no option on putting a washer or anything in there, really doesnt make since to me, i did just change the axles and a guy just posted about having a bent axle cause some problems, i dont see these beefy axles i put in being bent but i guess they could be, i got the ckrc lockouts that come with new axles and they are beef, the mesh wasnt perfect before either so i know it's not the axles
