Default Wear on ground-sliding parts (axles etc)

Guys,
I noticed yesterday, that slowly but surely, all the sliding across rocks starts to chafe away at the skidplate and especially the diff cases on the axles.

Is this something I should worry about? Do I just ignore it and call it "character" ? It doesn't look like it will chafe all the way through the plastic, but Im curious what others are thinking/feeling/doing about it?

Im always paranoid

Dont worry about it.. They will snap before they wear through.

You're not the first nor last to notice that.
Don't worry that is totally normal. And if you see(in a few years)
a hole in the diff case. Just buy a new one. Plastic lasts quite long and is fairly cheap.

Yep, when you do wear them out they are cheap. The axle housings are like $10 to replace. If the bottom of your links, skid, and axle housings aren't all scratched up you need to do some more crawling.

You would cry if you could see the bottom of my touring car. - was like you in the beginning, now I just thrashj my truck. It's the only way to learn the capabilities of your truck. I actually have a practice body that I painted on the outside, this helps me learn better lines (not wrecking hours of painting LOL).

Yea what he said

Probably would have made it longer but I ground my stubs to short and thought they would handle a 7t puller. By the way those axles are almost two years old but I only get to crawl a couple of times a month.

I file the bottoms and edges of my axles to slick them up. Never had a problem.
