Default What does your AX10 weigh?

Please be specific if you can.

What I mean is list your components so that we know what you are running. chassis,Wheels tires, shocks, springs, electronics what ever you want to list add it.

If you know your sprung and un-sprung weights list them as well.

The more info the better.

I’ve seen that in a lot of the other sections (XR10, Berg, Bully, etc) they all have threads and discussions on what their cars weigh(RTR).

Figured I’d try to start one in this section since I am getting ready to build an AX10 and weight will be a big concern for me. Not so much Overall weight as sprung v/s unsprung weight. With not much data to go off of on the AX10 I am not sure what a light AX10 is.

If I learned anything in 1:1 crawling it’s that being light helps out a Ton. And if you have to be heavy (when crawling) do it in the axles!

I've been lightening and messing with my rig recently.

Spec list:

- DNA SSS chassis with delrin links
- Axial Axles aluminum C's & knuckles in front, Aluminum lockouts rear
- CKRC wiggle servo for steering
- Eritex Comp heavies in the front, Eritex Lighter weight in the back
- Rovers with Nova foams
- Axial trans with DNA Dig Hitec servo
- Mamb Max with Integy 45t motor
- JR receiver
- Castle BEC
- JC Concepts Rock steady single cab body

I weighed it all last night and this is what I came up with.

Chassis (Without tire's wheels) 3lbs 7.55 ounces
Tire's & Wheels 2 Lbs 3.25 ounces

Total - 5 lbs 10.80 Ounces.

I started out shooting for under 5 pounds, and i'm at the point now where I need to swap out some parts in order to get there. First changes will be a lighter ESC and motor combo, smaller receiver and probably as a last resort type thing, ditch the DNA dig since I can honestly take it or leave it for normal use.
