| Poison Dart Chassis color options
I know this is somewhat cumbersome, but I just don't want to make product that no one will want to buy. I am getting many requests for chassis, and in all sorts of colors. My first batch is about to be ordered, and I am going to start with, perhaps, 4 colors. So, please choose your favorite color for the aluminum sides in this poll. That will help me nail down what to start with and what percentages. Keep in mind, the delrin will all be supplied in white, so the each person can dye the material to be whatever color you want. This is the basic layout, and the aluminum will be anodized to these specific colors. FIRST OFF, GO LOWER DOWN THE PAGE. HIGHLUCKS HAS POSTED HIS BUILD WITH BLUE. IT POPS! EDIT: I stole this pic from highlucks. Haha...sorry mate. It needs to be at the top. for reference, here is blue and purple. (the purple is sitting with a Losi trans...nevermind that you Axial guys) And, it is worth noting, the purple looks like sh*t because it was only spray painted. The blue is ano'd. And, just blue Casey Last edited by KC_JoNeS; 03-25-2011 at 02:31 AM. |

By far, the two most popular colors I've sold were yellow and black. They have also always been my personal favorites. Casey, where's the yellow and/or black option?? |

I wanted teal, but big thumbs and an iPhone don't mix.

I like that purple color. I think the crappy paint job gives it a cool texture. |

If I purchase one I would love a red and white set so I can make a Canadian version . A nice orange would be pretty sick if someone wanted to die the white parts black, or even leave them white to mimic a hugger orange camaro with rallye stripes (Oh my imagination is running wild).

According to what we sell Gunmetal grey will make no big difference with raw color. What you can do, just a guess. Sandblast and put some lacquer on it. I'm not sure how will it look since there is no any welding or temp spots on it as i observe on some bike frames. This is my idea. Am not sure it will work here at all From what i've seen the best combination of white plus, are red, purple, gold, dark blue. Green is also fun, but should be luminous somehow, not like anodized. And don't forget the black PS Orange or tangerine is fine as well, but not so popular in here at least. i can take some pics for you to see the color options we are talking about, if Casey allows just to show how the color looks like Last edited by shizzz; 03-25-2011 at 01:25 AM. |

Thanks for the head's up Shizzz. I will for sure look into the gun metal and think about moving it to something a bit darker. Casey |

I received my Proto this morning in blue. The best way that I can describe the finish is Satin. It is not high gloss like 3 racing or Intergy but is not completely matt like the Vanquish gear either. There is a nice sheen to it though. Some colours will light up better than others. Either way no matter which colour you go for it is going to look great. It is hard to see in the photo above but that is my blue side plate and topper in the example photo. |

Thank you Camo...yes. Satin is the best description for this finish. I will do my best to make sure that all of the colors pop. Casey |
