Thats French. Why? I don't know. This is my Fastback II thread. First and foremost, I'd like to thank Juan for bringing it back to us, and for hooking me up with one. It is much appreciated sir. A quick rundown of the parts list...not too terribly different from my F4, as most of the parts were just swapped over. FBII chassis D-Mount Axial trans, all metal internals OD front, UD rear gears Axial aluminum knuckles and C's 3Racing CVD's Junfac shafts HH 35t handwound Mamba Max 5955mg servo CC BEC Currently awaiting some wheels from Calvin. They will be wrapped in either Sedonas or Rovers. I figured I'd kick this off with some cool tech, and since my goal is to build the meanest sportsman rig I can, I'm designing, stealing, buying, and borrowing as many parts and good ideas as I can to make it happen. First up: Steering Seeing as how a few people are jumping on the crazy knuckle clocking boat, I figured I might as well do it too. To do that you need Beef Toobs. Since I spent all of my measly rc allowance on something else, I made my own on the cheap. No, I won't tell anyone what I made them of, or how I did it, but I will say its easier to just buy them, and I recommend you do. So, we've got our axles clocked, how to do the steering. Instead of the usual bent links and whatnot, I decided to try to implement the steering setup I made for my XRRA buggy. This is what I came up with... Constructed from 1/4" delrin, and the shaft is 1/4" square steel keystock. It works nice and smooth, no binding, and its got more than enough throw for the cvd's. It does hang a little far out in the front, but a quick redesign will pull it in tighter. I used up all my delrin though, so I'll beat on this one first and see how it does. Next up will be a new servo/battery tray to get it all away from the tires. |

| Isn't that what they said about the Titanic? Me too! Thanks. Its called "strategic photography". I don't know if I'd classify it as sick. Maybe slightly ill, or a little under the weather... Thanks. You know, you could have driven there and been back by now... |

Nice! I like the 20deg clock in front of the axle. Gooooood work! Could you put a plate there so you can keep the battery up front? |

Don't know the weight of the Junfacs, and I really don't care. I got tired of blowing driveshafts and these seem to be the ticket. I probably should have taken some kind of measurement or make a quick jig to make sure they were even. I didn't, so consequently they are a couple of degrees off from each other.

I was just curious compared to the MIPs, but I'm fairly certain they're lighter. Looking forward to progress on this build

| Your wish is my command. New servo location. I cut up the wicked cool mount I made yesterday and got it tucked as far back as I could. Its now bolted on under the tray. I was having a real issue getting the battery to sit where I wanted it, so I got rid of it entirely. Look closely and you'll see where its going to go. |

Very nice, my servo will be about like that too, just mounted differently. When it's running, a short vid of your steering motion would be cool to see.
