| *** dna slingshot ***
Ok so I bout a dna slingshot chassis im trying to install everything but its not fitting I have my tranny mirrored is that my prob can u not run a mirrored tranny with the chassis? The motor is a stock axial motor The can of the motor is just all in the way. I skipped the motor install as I waited for a responce but the next big issue is I installed the lower links and when I went to install the uppers they seem to be wayyy to short I have the hot racing lowers which I thought to be the same length as the axial ones. I am using the stock lenght four link bars with 3mm rod ends those mount to a tcs boomerang in the rear and tcs four link plate in the front mount does anyone see what's the prob with this? Thanks for any help in advanced

You might want to post up a few pictures to give people an idea of the problems you are having. |

Here is a couple of shots I took last night of the motor clearance sorry they are so big The can just hangs over alot which I know it does with this chassis I guess the issue is the clearance with the back of the motor and the side plate |

I know with "open end bell motors" {Novak 55T...} that they fit a lot differently than closed end bell motors {yours.} Is that the issue? I looked at other builds and it looks like their motors fit just fine inside the chassis |

There should be plenty of clearance on one of the chassis plates for the motor. I ran a cobalt puller in my Slingshot a while back and it fit. It was tight but it fit. Some random slingshot pics I found |

I am guessing you bought the chassis used. Does the skid look like it has been narrowed. The one a few posts up has been narrowed a little bit. I used to run one with a 7t puller but mine was not mirrored either. As far as links the kits came with pre-cut and tapped delrin links for the upper and lower along with 4 link plates. I might have new plates/links laying around that I'll send you if I didn't throw them away.
