Really easy build, hardest parts are trimming the motor plate and drilling the skid.

Looks really low slung, how does it compare height wise to your SWX with the C10 body on?

The wife took a good look at it last night and gave it her seal of approval. but i have been told what color to paint the panels, purple to match the chassis on the sides, and white for the top and roof. |

One of my most memorable cars from the show car scene years ago was a Blurple MK2 Golf with white wheels, still love that car. Your rig should look killer like that. If you want to hand me the panels I could show them some love.

Cheers, I find my rig with the bug body (which sits loooowww since I hacked it) compared to my C10 gives me much more confidence. It's almost like a false sense of having a lower CG, plays a mind game with me. I see you put the Sedonas on the SWX, have you tried them out at all? I know you mentioned them to me but can't remember if you said you tried them out on the course. I've done alot of moving around of my electronics lately (trying to get everything off the links) and finally got it together and did some crawling today, so I'm ready to hit up GTAH. Oh by the way, if you are willing to let go of the O.G. frogger let me know. I've got a set of axles here waiting for some love LOL, can't decide what I want to do with them. Well Mike (cagedcbr) you will be the first to know. They will only be open on Saturday so i will stop by after work around 2-3 and stay till they kick me out i think. I will need you to video tape the poison dart in action so everyone can see. Update time. BTA steering installed, tuning to come. I think i am going to need some different front shocks, or some different spring cups. We are at the wifes moms house and there aren't many places to crawl but i will try to get some testing done. |

Wow, that's seriously grabbing the tire! I thought I may have the same problem once I get my zero ack knuckles, I guess you answered the question for me. Have you tried the Titus wheels, are they the same backspacing?

MIP i never really like them from the get go but I got them for a great deal so i couldn't say no. I now need to figure something out, i have modded stock dog bones that i might give a try. But i think in the end i ma going to buy some more Axial CVD's and install some of the gunnar pins i have, the Axail's that are in the other rig have held up great with the gunnar pins. How are the 3racing CVDs? i want something that holds the pin in like the axial ones, i think thats why the MIP ones died. they use a set screw to hold them in and it just doesnt seem to hold well enough, it looks like the pin slid and then it was all over. |

Those are the Titus wheels. the DH procomps are a much better fit. Getting a pair of DH's from CD13, just waiting on a shipping quote. Last edited by DioptricStraw; 04-22-2011 at 03:01 PM. | |

Either go with 3Racing CVDs with gunnar pins, or Axial CVDs with gunnar pins. I run the 3Racing, and have never broken one. Casey |

Small update, -Dog bones not working so far, the keep walking out of the felsenfest spools. -Re-routed and re-did the wiring and ESC placement today, switched from 12awg to 14awg. -Tested out some new 3s batteries from the LHS, definitely going to need those junfac shafts soon, full throttle from a stand still is twisting drive shafts. -While i was playing around with my Pro truck today the old DX3E crapped out on me, so no playing until i can replace that. (was hoping it would last until the DX3C came out) What are you guys running for radios, I'm thinking either the DX3R or the 4PL. Gonna see if i can unload the DX2S and 2PL i have lying around to help fund the new radio. |
