Default JoNeS'N Poison Dart Pro build

I decided it was time to rebuild up the pro rig, as the hybrid rig I had before had some issues. I chose the red chassis, as IMO it is the most beautiful of the lot.

I am also playing around with the Losi shocks in the rear at full length. I think these shocks work so much better when they are upright, as opposed to being upside down.

Tomorrow, I need to cut down the motor plate, drill the skidplate for the transmission, and test her out.

For reference purposes:

The parts list:

JoNeS'N Frogger 2.1 "The Poison Dart" chassis set in Rose Red
Holmes Hobbies BR-XL ESC
Holmes Hobbies 35T handwound motor
87 tooth spur
16 tooth pinion
Vanquish Hurtz dig
HiTec HS-7950TH steering servo
HiTec 225 mini servo for the dig
JoNeS'N BTA tie rod for zero ackermann knuckles
Vanquish zero ackermann knuckles
JoNeS'N/gunnar beef toobs front and rear
Traxxas 2660 shocks up front with Losi Mini-T springs
Losi comp shocks out back
"Frog Legs" lower links
MIP shafts
3Racing CVDs up front with gunnar pins
36/14 gears up front
HD Bevel gears in rear
BEC set at 7.0 volts
3S 1300mAh LiPo batteries

Looks good Casey ! I am still waiting on the chassis. So, I spend my time picking all of your brains ( Highlucks, DioptricStraw too name just a few ). Trying to prepare for the arrival of my "Tuolumne County Poison Dart".
I did get some parts in to assemble the rear axle. Consisting of 43/13 Heavy duty beveled gears, Beef Toobs, Gunnar axle pins, STRC rear axle lockouts and VP rear 4 link plate. I will start a build thread when the chassis arrives.

Subscribed man, can't wait to see what you build up.

I am thinking of getting another chassis and building up a pro-class rig, I have all the parts (stock axles, trans, vp dig)

just need to accumulate some more money in my RC allowance to make an order!

I got you covered when you are ready man. But, I would also like you to get some video of your sporty rig when you do your test and tune.

What really sucks is these pictures dont do it any justice whatsoever. It really is beautiful in person. It reminds me of a ruby lipstick on a hot girl. HAWT!

Hey casey, love your chassis. I just did a sxw build and im already looking at your chassis's. I love the bodiless deal. The losi shocks your running in the rear. I got some of them in a deal. i was wondering what hardware you were useing to mount them to the chassis. The rig i got them on was pieced together with a ton of random crap hardware. the shocks seem to have alot of play side to side.

Thanks, kenny

Done! Now I just need to make side panels. Also, I am considering picking up a Tekin FXR, as the BR-XL is a little big to be sitting behind the dig servo.

And this is how they keep reproducing.

Hey Kenny, you need to look up JeepinDoug in the Vendor section. He sells some machined ball ends for the Losi shocks, as well as the Traxxas shocks. That is what I use. They work awesome. And, whenever you are ready for a chassis, you let me know. I have stock of all 4 colors right now.

Thanks mate. I am really enjoying it. I tested it this morning, and it looks like the tuning is nearly spot on already. I love it.

Isn't the red beautiful? Man, start a build thread as soon as you can. I want to see what you have up your sleeve.

You know, you leave your desk for 5 minutes, come back and see them like that. It is funny....I thought the red one was the boy. This pic would lend to that theory as well.

As they sit right now, here are the weights.

Red with Dig:

84.25 oz = 5.26 lbs

Blue Sporty:

92.5 oz = 5.78 lbs

The reason the blue is so much heavier is due to those heavy Chisels and Proline dual stage foams, and also I have D_lux knuckle weights on the front. The ATI turbines are not exactly light either.
The red chassis has the B.A.M. wheels with Rovers, and that combo is soooo light.

Also, these weights are without batteries.

The red chassis is gorgeous Casey.

A set of Paul's wheels to match would be dead sexy.

Oh man...I would LOVE to order up another set of Paul's wheels to match, but I just cant afford it right now.

And thanks....I hold all my inventory in my work office, and all my coworkers that saw the chassis sets agreed that the red is BY FAR the sexiest of all of them. In person, you just can not beat the way it reflects light.
