Using a scx-10 rear upper link mount? Interesting, can't wait to see and hear more about the shafty chassis!

Thanks. The only thing that changed is the rear link mount. I have been using a scx10 link mount , just because it looks cleaner. There is some Adjustment room
in there if needed.

OMG that looks awesome BTF, I love it. Do you have a detail picture of how the upper links attach to the chassis?

I have to say I'm honored to have pics of the new T1E Shafty truck in my thread.

I wish my chassis was light enough to take advantage of some shit like that and not have asstons of squat. Lower everything!

What happens when you start to cut the weight is all those super HD parts get replaced with more fragile stock parts. But don't worry with a lighter rig you won't need them anymore. Honestly I thought my truck would break down buy it didn't thought the entire 2011 comp season, I was really surprised.

Took a MNRCRC Sporty first place at the last comp and the ESC was cutting out it felt like a bad finish for sure so the win was a big surprise.

I've been a die hard shafty guy from the beginning, maybe not the brightest bulb on the tree in the age and dominance of MOA trucks. But I like the challenge of running my rig in the 2.2 open class at my local club, MNRCRC.

I picked up a Moonbuggy shafty chassis from Mike at T1E and married it to my successful GC-2 set up. You'll notice the different battery and steering servo locations. Pure Gatekeeper, even the link geometry is identical to my GC-2 set up it just bolted right up.

Specification

T1E Moonbuggy Shafty chassis and high rise lower links
Big Bore shocks 2660 3.5"
Axial Axles
SDS Super 300 CVD and locker
Axial clock-able chubs
JR 8711 steering servo
Under drive gearing rear
Felsenfest zero Ackerman knuckles and weight system
Beef tubes with caster
Axial Transmission and VP Hurtz Dig with HS5085MG Micro servo
Jakes Performance 37t checkpoint motor on 3S batteries
VP SLW wheels
Hater tires by owner with InNovation DD 5.5 with tunning disks

RTR weight 5.5 pounds

Really just a straight forward shafty rig.

The Felsenfest front end, very low COG.

The tranny and dig.

The old reliable Mamba Max on it's fourth year of service. I even regularily run 4S packs through it and it's still workin, knock on wood.

The amazing ground clearance.

A few shots of the finished truck, forgive the poor picture quality I need a new camera.

These are very decent pictures of AX-10 trucks given by you, I liked them more. The tires of them are looking very strong, and cool. I think you made it yourself, am I right mate?

Your right a RCC member Bcrofts started making these tires several years ago. They are Rover sidewalls white compound and Losi Eclipse red compound treads I've made several sets because the work so well. Thanks for the nice words.

There pretty easy to make you can do it I'm sure. Don't think anyone is making these for sale but Crawler Innovations and IttyBitty East Coast Customs take on requests.

Thank you for you comments.

Your going to need to purchase four Rover white compound tires and five Losi Eclipse red compound tires. Remove the tread face of all the tires and tack together with quick drying super glue then fill all the seams from the inside with formula 2000 rubberized super glue.

You use the side walls from the Rovers and the treads of the Eclipse. You can look at the pictures to see where to cut the tires. It's pretty easy to make a set. There are tutorials on tire building if you need more information.
