Default *** Vp dig with slingshot chassis? ***

Ok so I'm considering buy a vp dig in the classifieds and just wanted to know how well they fit in the slingshot chassis? Is there any modification needed to the chassis or well she just go right in? Thanks in advanced

It should go right in with no mods. I have the SS chassis and it has a lot of room for all kinds of dig. I have used the dna and eritex dig with it and both fits with no problem. Dna dig is a bit larger than Vp.

The servo placement may be an issue, more so than the dig unit fitting. I installed a VP dig into a wedge chassis. The dig unit fit fine the servo(7950) did not fit. I had to make it fit.

You're better off getting either the DX3 or the DX3e as the cheapest Spektrum brand for this application. I have both and perfer the DX3 with 3rd channel toggle modification. DX3.0 does not work for this application at all. It has been discussed many time in the past. Just use the search button.

On the VP dig you do not need a large servo for it to work well. I run a Futaba S3102 Micro servo on mine and it does the job flawlessly.

Sorry I cant help on the radio.

Ok folks I got the dig installed and I think the end points are set good. There isn't any buzzing or anything coming from the servo. Im having a prob tho it pops out of 4wheel could that just be bad gears in the dig? Anyone know where I could find replacement gears new preferably I think that's my problem cause its a used dig any ideas thanks guys

It might not be the gears but the epa's.

When I installed mine, I set the epa's like you and it worked fine going forward but would not hold the dig in reverse.
I upped the epa on that end a little and wala, no more popping out of dig.
