When I had my first eclipse, I had the rx and esc mounted on a lexan shelf in the rear.

Thanks, I try... on occasion. Haha. Sold that one awhile back.

The shelf was easy to make and it's just zip tied on. It has a regualr 35turn motor in the pics, but before I had sold it, I had a 7turn HH full size (500) puller in it, and everything still cleared.

But if you want to see THE OG Eclipse build, look here. This build thread inspired my first Eclipse build, and still inspires me to this day

Is there any way to add caster to my axle without buying new knuckles?
I've saw a picture of an ax10 axle with what looked like the stock knuckles clocked pretty far with the screw in a different hole.

You'll need a snorkel, an apple, and some tin foil.

Oh wait, that's wrong.

You need Gunnar tubes. A dremel, and a tap. Searchfor "Gunnar's Narrow FF-4l build thread and it shows how to do it. Disregard the fact that the tunes he use are way more awesome than what you'll be using, but you'll get the idea.

What size tubing is that? I could make some of those for cheaper and without having to wait for shipping, but I cant find what size tubing to use.

I have been bashing around the back yard with the new cobalt puller and a 2000mah 2s lipo for the past couple of days and was pretty impressed with the motor, good wheelspeed and touqe. But today I slapped a 1000mah 3s lipo from my blade sr in there and DAMN. That motor came alive! Its a huge improvement using a 3 cell vs a 2 cell. Im driving up to gainseville tomarow to the veterans park to test everything out on some real rocks so I should have some pics and video posted up tomarow night.

This build is awesome! What batteries will you use on it? And where will they mount.

Cool to see some other folks running the eclipse still! I have had mine since they first came out and its a tight fit but everything fits in there. I did a shelf like scorpianking (i run a old MMax) and did the inboard links, 4 links front/rear and sprung rear/droop front. The one mod i did on the chassis was to make a steel panel to replace the lexan roof panel and welded it on. Its a good place to mount my rx now

Nice job i would love to try a puller some day
