Default Axle Aluminum Parts

Please dont flame me, but I just wanted to know what people out there are running for aluminum hop-ups on their axles. I broke the plastic c on my rear axle (old school right? ) and now I need to replace it with something, preferably alum. Im also looking for good zero ackerman knuckles (i cant find any that are cheap) and also c's for the front.

I dont want to spend too much on it. A 15 year old's allowance doesnt go very far. Lol. Thanks for any help!

Honestly, if these are on the rear and you are not running rear steer. I would go to a straight axle lockout set up.

This is just a example. These are what I run on both of my rigs. This will save you money in the long run.

If you are really strapped the plastic axial rear lockouts are something to look at. I've been runnin them for quite a while with no problems. I to got them when I was building my crawler for the reason of cost and the intention of upgrading later but their still holden up.

I would say go with the plastic lock outs in the back, they are extremely durable.

As far as the front axle I would get Axial C-hubs, and VP 0 ackerman Knuckles.

I would avoid the strc axles, the inner axle itself is pretty weak. I have seen countless failures of them. I would suggest the axial straight axle with the plastic lock outs. I have a set of the plastic lockout that I would send you for free if you want and it helped you? As far as the c goes I have had good luck with the very cheap strc ones. They don't offer the extra hole for caster but most run clocking tubes of some sort up front so that isn't an issue really. As for the knuckle you just cant beast a pair of Vanquish high steers

I don't think I need to bother repeating that the axial plastic lockouts and straight axles are the way to go for the rear...

for the front, I would recommend taking a bit longer to save, if need be, to go ahead and get good c's (axial clockable) and knuckles (vanquish zero ack). Spend a lil more up front so you don't have to buy replacements again later.

Having said that, STRC C's are decent if you really wanna save some $$ - I've been running them on my ax10 comp rig for about 6 months now with no probs.
