Awesome build. It's been awhile since anyone has made their own transmission. I also love the big window frame. Normally, bodiless frames look a bit dwarfed by the big wheels, but yours looks good.

Thanks Highly the next year

Some update. I manufactured titanium rear link (lower in 6mm and 4mm for upper) to replace those in delrin. The delrin link , too thick, came to rub against the driveshaft.

Titanium it is always a true nightmare to be worked

The front axle :
  • Axial Axle Housings
  • Axial Racing Aluminum C Hub Carrier for AX10 Scorpion #AX30495
  • EGRESSor knuckles and EGRESSor knuckles weights
  • Super 300 Axial CVD's for Axial AX10
  • Axial Racing Optional Ratio Gear Set 36/14 for Axial AX10 Scorpion #AX30401
  • HPI Two Rear Shock Set 77-117mm RS4 Mt 2 Kit HPIA710
  • TCS Internal Shock Springs for Axial AX10 Scorpion - Medium Strength
  • Gunnar *beef* toobs
  • Servo Hitec 7950 TH

Assembly of the front axle

C-hub with +20° caster

4 links and the support of servo

Nothing rubs

I have the classic issue with bearing. I took the advice of SDSCustumZ and I removed the bearing.
I have to modify and drill the Gunnar *beef* toobs to move them of 4mm.

The new inox steering arm

The front axle complete

The rear axle
  • Axial Axle Housings
  • Axial Heavy Duty Bevel Gear Set 43T/13T (coming soon )
  • EGRESSor spool
  • Ax30494 Axial Aluminum Rear Axle Lock-out
  • AX30421 Straight Axle 6x104 50mm
  • Traxxas big bore Shock #2660

The rear 4 links

For the moment I use the silver Losi Rear Shock Springs Mini-T LOSB1119 , I think that the green or pink would be adapted more. Even with the silver springs, I have very little torque-twist. Le Margouillat can climb the test board inclined to 75°, it is good sign.

Electro
  • Micro SideWinder
  • CC bec
  • TeamBrood Creep Type HHK-R 45T (coming soon)

Some pic of complet rig

The final weight?? less than 5Lbrs - under 2.200kg RTR
But, after some test, it will be necessary that I add 100g to the rear…

To follow...
Hey buddy, pics of your rig were made at " la plage de sable noir a papeete"?

Hello,

Some update.
I received the last parts:
  • Long servo arm
  • UD rear gear
  • Losi spring

In first, I add 80g in front for a better distribution of the weight. I shortened weights VP (-7mm), to fix them on the Egressor weights. They weigh approximately 20g each one.

These 80g moreover on the front axle, improves the behavior largely

The final weight is of 2.340 kg - 5.15 lbrs RTR. With 160g - 5.6 oz from weight in front and 100g - 3.5 oz with the rear.

The long servo arm, the steering functions much better, especially in maximum steering

One does not see it too much on the photograph , but I installed UD gear et Egressor spool. And red Losi spring.

Hello,

Some news and one questions

The family photo, Le Margouillat with and W/o dig

New skid, simplified and lighter

I replaced the front and rear upper links in titanium, by those out of carbon. Still a few grams to gain

After several tests and some failures, the process of joining is good.
Joining is now more solid than the rod ends
pics of the link test

I also decided of exchange my driveshafts MIP, for a lighter plastic model :
  • AXI80011 Axial Drive Shaft Set AXI80011
  • AXI30501 Axial Driveshaft Ring w/Setscrews Gray AXI30501
  • TRA4628X Traxxas Drive Yokes Steel with Screws TRA4628X

By changing the 2 driveshafts, I gain 60g

But problem, quickly the front driveshaft twists…

Therefore, the question is, which driveshafts doesn't twist (Traxxas??)

The final weight RTR : 2115g

Traxxas stampede shafts (dike shaft) work great
Use two female ends, CA clue to one side a male piece of shaft.
I don't have the best pics but here you go.

Your builds are great!
