Ehh,, this truck is totally untested, who knows how it will work out. And you darn near won the last comp, it's only a matter of time for you to pull out a win.

Oh, it's juicy. That's a little 27t brushed motor with a 10t or 9t pinion. Just messing around in the garage and like 3 minutes between rains, it was working fine with plenty of good wheel speed and torque. That is just practice pack too. I have some of the Gens Ace 450mah packs that have better punch.

Shane you got it all fitted in that little space and it's looking really sick, it should be a blast to drive, nice work. Bye the why I missed hearing it's RTR weight.

Back on post #78.

5lb 2oz RTR minus a body (PIG!), which is about 2oz. RTR weight includes the 2oz of extra knuckle weight. Don't even know if ill need them yet but they're on there.
That 400 motor is 3.6oz. A 540 35T motor is 6oz.
My comp berg is 5.6lb...I think the extra weight is from the 4 beef tubes.
Made some add on weights from less than a dollar each washers. two pieces (one side) are a little under an ounce. I made these a year or so ago for my MRC and berg. Cheap option but it takes about 15mins per washer to grind it down.

Thanks. It's nothing fancy and 92% based on Underground Crawlers FF-4 chassis. So Juan can take credit for the link geometry. I just raked the ass end up.

I cut a carbon fiber sportsman chassis for Helhedded too. His design. He doesn't like to share secrets, so you probably won't see a picture of it until he has won a few comps with it.

Probably be reworking the comp berg in this Carbon fiber too.

Found a hardly used WattAge motor on Ebay for $30 shipped! Same 27T I have but newer. Can't believe I even found one.
Dropped down to 10t pinion and this setup is working good now. Good torque and decent wheelspeed. Probably get some packs through it this weekend. Going to move the battery to the rear upper links. The current battery mount is the first thing to hang up on the rocks. I figured it would, just wanted to see how it did.

~3.5 oz. plus what ever the HH motor plate weights. Normal 540 35T motor is 6oz.
More specs up on post 81.
There is a company that still sells them for $30 plus international shipping.
I got my other one when I bought a rig a year or so ago. It was just a "I'll throw in this motor too" deal.

12t pinion on this motor in this rig and you don't have much torque, stalls when gets bound up. 10t pinion solved 90% of it. I'll have just to see how hot it gets with a 10t in a comp run situation.
I am running a 90t spur too. I could always bump up a few more teeth there too.

Going to steal that idea. I remember seeing that mount.

I was thinking of using big orings to hold a battery to the upperlinks but think the battery will move around.

Nice idea, but you're probably right. Can't hurt to try though.

Rear battery mount complete.

Revo rod end'ed the front shocks. They were about 4" long and I needed them a little longer. Right about 4.4" now.

Temporary skid on. Used the plastic box the Vanquish knuckles weights came in.

Body mounted for now. Drilled holes in the crossbraces like I have done several other times. Used 3mm all thread out back and just used a 15mm 3mm screw and washer with a rubber spacer under the body. When the front screw is tightened down it expands in the body mount hole.

Swapped out to the longer (Rear mini LST) springs.

This was one of my first bug bodies I bought 3 years ago.
Note the sloppy heat and bend for the boatsides

Truck is right at 5lbs.

If that motor turns out to have enough torque I might have to pick one up and try it. Are you liking it so far?

Had to drop down to the 10t pinion. Very little stall left now. I am running a Kimbrough 90t spur now. I can go up to a 96t if needed. So, I have a few options left.
Going to the Superlift park in Hot Springs tomorrow, so I'll be able to test it out pretty good.

I have my other motor but set screw is stripped and it's a 12 pinion. I am sure I could wrangle it off. I bought an extra 10t pinion as well. PM me if you want to test it out.
