The axles that I'm using for this build will be some beefy AX10s that I picked up from my buddy Rootar. These axles are pretty sweet and he gave me a decent deal on them. Thanks, Doodar!

They showed up yesterday and I started the tear down and cleanup of the front axle last night. The front is equipped with:
Super 300 axles and locker
36/14 gearing
Gunnar beef tubes
VP Zero Ackerman knuckles
unknown c hubs

I should be able to get it put together tonight. I got tired last night and had to lay down for my beauty sleep.

I hand cut them using Helhedded's lexan templates. Chassis plates are 1.5mm CF, front/rear 4-links are 3mm CF. The 3mm CF likes to splinter and delaminate real easy. Not sure if it was my drill bit or just the CF. I took all the pre-cautions for prep and while cutting to not have them splinter/de-laminate.

Just used a dremel with a metal "thin" cut-off wheel and a sanding drum "stone type" for the dremel.

Going in the mail tomorrow.

Carbon Fiber is very hard on bits. You need to have the bit very sharp, and it'll dull almost immediately. When I'm hand drilling, I've recently started drilling part way through from one side, then placing the template on the other side and drill through from that side... at least until I get my CNC.

the post man dropped this off today...

What could it be? links? Electronics? An official Red Ryder carbine-action two-hundred-shot range model air rifle? I'm not even sure if I should open it because Sir Spanksalot doesn't even live here.
Harry Paumbs does, though...
