| Fastback II build
Ok i ordered myself a Fastback II chassis and i have been reading on most the builds on here the only question i have is most ppl use a 4 inch shock but are they extending them to make them longer to mount them on the front axels like i see in most the builds on here and also whats a good replacement for the D-Mount since there not avaliable anymore ? Also once i receive my chassis ill make this into a build thread. |

I have been running fast back 2 for quite some time. Make your own d link mount as it is a huge help to the rig. Traxxas big bore shocks with mini T springs. No clearance issues. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk |

Yup you can fab up a D mount with ease. Just read through some of the builds on here for ideas and if you need some measurements for the D mount I or someone on here should be able to get them for you. Trial and error is about the only way to set your rig up for your liking, but there is plenty of FBII builds on here to get a good starting point from |

Ok im haveing mad trouble with my FB II build atm maybe i have just over looked this for the last 2 hours reading on here but does the front Reg MiP drive shaft not work as in is it too long and do i need to just get the dig unit shaft set for the front and also i have seen ppl ask this before but the rear lower links are 30* bends but what is the Eye to Eye distance and also i have 4in losi comp shocks and the seem really short for this build. Im just frustrated atm and been reading for so long not finding the answers im looking for any help would be great. thank you.

Yes you need to shorten the front driveshaft...I just cut mine down with a dremel. This chassis is a 60/40 set-up meaning that the chassis is not centered but moved foward between the axles to achieve a greater breakover point. This is the premier thread for Fastback setup. Somewhere in there he mentions link length...although I have looked a thousand times and cant find it... Underground Crawlers Fastback chassis DickyT also has a FF-4 thread that I think mentions the correct length as well. - |

Have to agree with ya. Im using my stock plastic RTC lower links as rear uppers. Might not be exactly perfect but it keeps the pinion up nice and high. Oh a free to |
