Default Question about bent links

So I want to get rid of the stock links and get bent links on top of 4 linking the front and rear.. I was wondering if putting the bent links will give me more ground clearance in the sense of raising the motor/trans skid plate?? My brother has a losi night crawler and it looks as if his skid plate is significantly higher than the AX10 and when we go wheeling together i feel like my lower belly pan is what hangs me up rather than the links especially when trying to do more vertical climbs over lips.. My tires will be on top of the ledge and skid plate will be resting on the side of the rock, where as my brothers night crawler will have about an inch from the side of the rock to his skid plate..

Sorry for the long post!!!

Bent links won't give you more clearance under the skid, the springs and shock travel do that.

A pic of your current setup and a measurement between the ground and the skidplate will help.
