Question AX10 to SCX10

I am going to convert my AX10 to a SCX10. I was thinking about getting the SCX10 frame kit for $44.99? Anyone know what the wheel base is on that?
and Would the 2008 F-250 Proline body fit without cutting it? Any input, opinions, and advice (negative and positive I wanna hear it all) would be great.

Your wheelbase would depend on the lengths of the links you choose to run, and that would also allow you to adjust the wheelbase to just about any body you want.

I have the f250 body (tmaxx 2.5 edition) and am using ax10 axles. When I get home I will post some dimensions and a pic hopefully. I made my own frame from aluminum though, and I made my links all from threaded rod screwed into aluminum tube drilled/tapped at the ends. So your wheelbase and suspension travel can be as little or much as you want. Are you going for scale or just fun?

So, I did get the SCX10 frame rails I can't fabricate at all that well. I don't think the f250 body will fit I was thinking about making it a regular cab. Is that hard to do?

I think scale crawling is the most fun. Going fast doesn't let you enjoy the scenery =D. My f250 wheelbase looks about 11 7/8", I pushed it to 12" for my setup. Body total length (remember front bumper is curved) max 18" long. Body width at the lower front fender inside is 6 7/8". If you make it shorter you would have to get crafty on joining poly together, and paint from the outside. How long are your frame rails? You could make extensions out of plastic or metal c channel. I will get some pix up once I figure out how lol.

Your stock lower links are 91mm on both the AX and SCX but the upper links on a AX are only 55mm while on a SCX there 60mm and there a 3mm spacer fitted in between the mounting point on the axle and the Y ( 3 way link thing )

I'm doing the same converting my AX into a SCX FOFFer, but having 4 link plates front and rear, I'm having to have links made... 106mm lower tapped for M4 so I can use Traxxas ball joints / 86mm upper links tapped for M3 to use Axial ball joints...

Oh good I'm not the only one using traxxas ball joints! Do you think the pinion angle would have to change with the increased suspension travel of the ax vs. the sc10? Or is the increase of the upper because of the frame difference?
