Both Junfac and MIP are good drive shaft and is bolt on application. The MIP is beefier but also slight bulkier, have said that not that the junfac one is have strength issue, it is pretty strong too.

Yes, you can get them specifically for the ax-10

Ive got a problem with my shocks . I bought some losi golds 2.75 springs but they are about half an inch shorter than stock. How should I go about making them fit or should I just go with the axial red super soft. I'm afraid I wont have enough ground clearance with the losi golds. Whats a normal amount of ground clearance ?Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

normal ground clearance is somewhere between 2.5 to 3 inches. i shoot for 2 3/4 up to 3 inches. the losi golds are the same length as the stock axial rtc springs. you may have either aftermarket shocks or you may have the shocks that came on the axial rtr (which i think are longer). if you have the rtr shocks you can run the preload collar down so the springs will fit.

If it was me I would just spend the forty bucks on some traxxas bigbores and do the cap mod I think I have like maybe fifty in my full set with all the hardware needed to make them.

Yeah its the rtr ax10. I think I'm going to try to limit the travel with a few zip ties and see if it works. I would buy the big birds but I don't have a way to do the cap mod. Otherwise I don't know what to do

The typical way to limit up-travel is to disassemble the shocks and slip a piece of small diameter tubing over the shaft. It sits next to the piston so keeps the shock from reaching it's full length. Alternatively, you can limit the chassis height by where you attach the shocks. For long shocks use the upper holes and test the effect of reclining them which will also keep max height down. As stated previously, don't let your max skid height exceed 3". I think Gatekeeper wrote that he ran at 2.75".

Forget that. Build it just like the pictures. Except if you have 4" shocks instead of 3.5" shocks, use higher holes that keep the shocks at the same angle. As pictured, that's Gatekeeper's setup. Feel free to try other settings and test, but start as shown.

If your still looking for drive shafts and dont want to spend the $50 on mips heres a good replacement set (actually 6) TRA1953 1953 Long Truck 1/2 Shaft Pro Pak (6) - Traxxas Cars/Trucks
I run these on 3s with a hh 35t and have yet to break one!Plus its a weak link that can be fixed in a matter of minutes if one does break and for $10 you cant beat that!!Oh and almost every hobby store has them in stock

fuel tubing. some shocks (losi comp shocks come to mind) use a piece of fuel tubing in the upper mounts. just cut to fit, slide in and screw goes thru fuel tubing and attaches to chassis.
