Proof is left as an exercise for the student.
I am sure, 100% sure, that it doesn't matter how the source of power is arranged, or how its gears are cut, or if its got a chain drive, or a flux capacitor, or if there is a very teeny tiny man inside turning a hand crank, you are still delivering that power through a driveshaft that on one end is attached to the chassis and on the other end attached to an axle, both of which in turn are not solidly attached to each other.

It's the axle pinion gear trying to climb the ring gear.

Doesn't have anything to do with gears.

The chain idea is a bit different! What is Torque Twist (TT) and how to fix it.

I'm gonna have to agree! It has to do with the resistance to movement, which gear ratio plays a part in! The twist as we see it is 100% a result of the drive shaft. The bike example still has torque twist, but it's ***looks*** like a low antisquat value.

Does it have anything to do with your mom being so fat that she's hard to climb?

Am I the only one who sees the counter rotation unit as a valid option? If the two drive shafts spin in opposite rotation of each other, the TT they produce should cancel each other out. The only adverse affect I can foresee is that the main chassis will either lift or squat down, but not pitch or roll.

If a thermonuclear rocket scientist like EGRESSor can make one, I'm sure a drunk left turn veering hillbilly like Duuuuuuuude can make one work.

And I agree with Duuuuuuuude on the whole transverse mounted motor thing. The TT develops between the output and pinion gear. The axle representing the vise on the bench, and the output representing the drill in your gorilla grip.

Only when she's greased up.

And? Are we moving to another thread or is there something specific you are trying to point out?

C'mon Lassie! What are you trying to say? Did Timmy fall down the well?

Are you drunk? That is the most mis-spelled post I have ever seen you make.

WTF is a "Fran drew mounted motor thing"?

I guess the question is: what ever became of Egressors counter-rotating thingy?

Hahaha. Trah. I don't proof read:

Meant "transverse mounted"

And I guess auto correct doesn't work too well. I'll edit that post when I'm not on my phone.

It's a permalink to a specific post in this thread which addresses that issue.

No, the link to the other thread.

Are we talking about chain drive? I thought Manning summed up the side effects pretty well on that one...

Or are we talking about CIII's counter rotational thing?
