No not really, but when you figure it rides high, and that you don't really need it, it makes sense to me to keep the plastic.

I switched out my 1/4" Delrin crossbars for 3/16" versions just to save 1/4 oz. I machined the grooves in my skid deeper, and pocketed out extra material on top to save another 1/4oz.

It does add up, and if you could save 50% of the weight on something that rides high, wouldn't you want to?

Your right about that!

I bet with my 3Racing cover and motor plate that damn things heavy....I know what I'm doing tonight...
