Default Cut wraith axles

Here is a new one I am trying to make work and get a lower cog on a shafty. Stock wraith axle cut down on the long side and servo mounted in between the center diff and link mount like 86 jeep style in a berg. It should work especially for the amount of time I have into this thing.

Pretty slick. How wide is it?

Also, what are you gonna do front front uppers?

My full width wraith axled sportsman with .68" wide wheels with no offset is the same width as my XR. i thought it'd be too wide at first, but it's not bad at all.

That is a really pretty servo/link mount, I might even call it genius! Those knuckles sure do stick out a lot, though.

It is actually the same length as my old front axle was with beef tubes sticking out the 12mm each side. I narrowed up the wraith by 22mm on just the long side. To help narrow it up, I took .335 dh hubs and cut them down so they are flush with the inside of the wheel. Its only 11mm wider than my Ti-Fighters with dh's and 600 hubs. It was one of the best mods I have done to my sporty to help it crawl and lower the cog.

Haha. I totally didn't notice the link mount. I must have been looking with my mouth.

It is nice, isn't it?

Any plans for the battery location? If you want to get crazy you can rotate the servo 90* and stick the battery behind it like a MOA rig would behind their motor!

How about some underside shots so we can see how low that thing sits!

I have already thought of that and the servo wont fit and have room to do anything else, Like mount links and shocks. Battery can either go on the upper links or on the bottom of the hood like it is now.

Even on a standard width Wraith axle, it'd be hard to fit the servo in parallel to the axle. I mean, it'd fit between the pumpkin and the link/shock mount, but You coulen't use the stock/VP upper link locations. The link tabs would have to be removed and a regular 4 link plate mounted above that. Even then, the bottom of the servo hangs below the axle tube. I already tried with my sportsman. Ultimtely i just went with a standard servo/lipo/upper link plate. Kept all the foraward weight bias, and nothing rubs at full lock
