VP 8* Chubs and Knuckles Vs. XR Mod Question...

Hi Guys,

Been a while since I had time to work on my rigs. Figure it's about time to revamp my sporty with more steering. 3 questions....

1. Which one?...XR mod w/VP Incision Chubs and knuckles or VP 8* Chubs and 8* Knuckles both setups with knuckle weights...which one would give me more steering since they both run the same price and both setups have knuckle weights options?

2. I will be upgrading to VP wheels DH ProComp II's w/slugs but would this be necessary if I have knuckle weights already? I need narrow front wheels if I want more steering and wider hubs to gain more clearance between the front shocks and the front lipo which I plan on moving onto a lexan plate which will hold the lipo pack over the front 4 link.

3. And what wheel hubs are yall running for XR mod and the 8* setup on DH II's on the AX10 axles?

Currently here's my current setup:
Axial Clocked CHubs
Axial Zero Ackerman High Steer Knuckles
Axial CVD's w/Gunnar pins
JonesN BTA tie rod w/modded drag link to fit my Losi aluminum servo horn.
Hitec 7955TG @ 7.0V w/RR servo protector

Additional front end setup info:

Tires and Lead Weights Setup:
Front: DNA 2.2" Assasins white dot siped Rovers w/lead weights at 74 oz. (wheels and lead weights only). Tires and foams not included in weight yet...

Rear: DNA 2.2" Assasins white dot siped Rovers no rear weights at 2 oz. (wheels only). Tires and foams not included in weight yet...

Of course CI foams on all 4...firm inner soft outer for front and firm inner med outer for rear.

Thanks for taking the time to help out with the release of these new products!

Here's somewhat of an answer,http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial...12-sporty.html post 13 you can see the difference, I myself am loving the xr mod, with this mod I run the narrowest hub on my dh 1's up front , I don't have the knuck weights for it yet but soon

That is a huge improvement between the XR mod compared to the 8* setup! Didn't know it was that extreme...plus with the XR front CVD's they seem a lot stronger than the Axial CVD's even with Gunnar pins.

Time to order! Thanks for that great link sococrawler just what I wanted to see!

You're welcome, I have axial cvds with Gunnar pins as well but the stay in the scalers
