Default Arise Scorpion from the ashes

My 1st crawler was an AX10 with RC4WD R2 gearbox, I still have it but I've lived in the XR10 forum for the last year or so, but the idea of turning my AX10 into a sporty really appeals after seeing some of the builds over the last few months, some are super impressive

Is the RC4WD R2 unit strong enough for a good motor, I don't intend using the dig and shoving the R2 up forward with a better sporty chassis

As far as I know the axles are stock, are they strong enough for 35T on 3S?

I know the wheels need moving out to about 11" track

The bones will need upgrading but there's good info on here about that

Default Re: Arise Scorpion from the ashes

I've never owned the R2 but my biggest concern would be with the width and weight.

I run 35T on 4S, but with an XR-10 mod. The knuckles are VP Wraith knuckles and the C's were the stock plastic. They held up for quite awhile but have become very weak lately. They will be getting replaced with VP's and I'll also be going to a wider setup with Beef Tubes.
