Where are you planning on mounting the battery? Raising the tie rod up means I can't strap mine to the front axle like I was...

Re: Tedrockz's GC3 Sportsman rig

On a plate behind the servo. It will be dropped a bit like JeremyHs battery mount. Just enough to clear the drive shaft. My ESC and Rx will be shrinked together on the axle on a small CF plate. They will clear the links and tire barely, a 3s lipo won't.
I wanted to do one similar to HBJs but the BTA idea screwed that.

I should have a pic up tomorrow.

Got it running this evening! Put my Mamba 1C in instead of the Micro. I am thinking I may wanna try a red sensored outrunner one day and will have the appropriate speedo ready installed. Hacked up a Rowdy Racing berg mount for a battery mount. Fit and works good. I will be running an O-ring along with the velcro to keep the lipo put.

Just gotta get a servo guard and some more slw hubs for the rear, way narrow.

A few more pics...

:ror: Hated to hack up a nice piece but it turned out well enough to leave the RR exposed. It works fine for the 600 and 430 packs.

Had a bit of a redo tonight. I was not content with the electronics and servo set up. Put on a VP plate and removed the big arse Mamba 1C. Smashed a Mamba Micro and a BEC together on on side and the 3s lipo on the other. Tape is temporary also:flipoff:. Gotta get some shrink.

Anyways everything is on the front axle now. Looks and feels better to me...:ror:
