Default Tedrockz's GC3 Sportsman rig

I have this rig partially built for a while now and most of the parts to finish it for over a year. Figured it was time to get it done. Wanna thank VP, RPP, Brood, and East Coast RC for being there with all the good stuff...

Chassis
Gatekeeper GCA3

Front Axle:
Creation Fabs tubes
Axial XR universals(will be HD300s when ready)
Felsenfes locker
Axial HD O.D. gears
VP XR C hubs
VP XR knuckles(may change to wraith)
Blue Monkey RC KWs and tuner kit
Acer ceramic bearings
Homemade BTA tierod(will be a Ti link soon)

Rear Axle:
Axial straight axle(waiting on a better option)
Felsenfest locker
Axial HD gears
VP lockouts
Acer ceramic bearings

Trans:
VP case
BWD motor plate
Robinson Racing gears(all)
Crawler Innovations outdrives with Maxx shafts and adapters
16/88 pinion and spur

Kyosho shocks
45 weight oil
Red/pink Mini T springs on front
3.5" Losi gold rear springs

Elects:
Mamba Micro
CC Bec
FrSky RX
Hitec 7950
CBP 600 3s
TQRacing 16ga wire
Brood 30 turn(quite a bit different arm) in a Kr can

Wheels
VP SLWs
T1E Carbon fibers
Shaved claws
Various set ups of Crawler Innovation foams

Body
XR10 with Freq e tag skin(@ 2 years old and was never used until now)
Gunnars body mounts

All that is needed to get it going is to wired up. Gotta make an electronics mounting set up of some sort. There is a few options there. Got to order a VP servo guard as well, forgot it when I ordered parts for this build.

It is a great looking rig. Awesome parts list. I like the BTA tierod its nice and clean. Any reason for the extra spacers on the upper links?

On the front I clocked the C's back a little to much. The spacers was an easier fix. The wheelbase on the kit is a little shy of 12.5 anyways so no harm really. The rear spacers were to clear the Maxx shafts a bit more(clock). These things are big, most likely will swap the out to the Wild boars one day.

The tierod is not as clean in person. But I am working on another one now. Was is a rush with the first. Works perfect, just not "pretty"

Got the revised BTA tie rod finished. A bit better than the brake line with shock ends. Now 3/16" Ti with Revo ends. There is not a lot of room to play with considering shocks, driveshaft, and suspension cycle but it all clears....barely. Now to replace that rigged servo to knuckle link and I'll be content until the 300HDs are ready

Feels good to actually build something again

Thanks. That means a lot coming from a shafty guru like you.

Working on a electronics mount now and should have my speed control here in a day or so. EastCoastRC is quick with the shipping.

Looking good Steve...that ESC should be on your doorstep tomorrow. I need to look into moving the tie rod up and out of the way on my rig...

Thanks!

The Chaotic XR link(bent one) with a little love in a vice works perfect. Along with some spacers.

Just moved mine up...added a 6mm spacer between the rod end and the knuckle arm to clear everything, but that's all I had to do. Now this has prompted cleaning up and moving some electronics around...thanks Steve

Thanks again for all of the support for East Coast RC
