Default steering issues

Okay so I'm running a hidden tierod setup under the front servo/batt plate. Im running the BWD LW servo plate and it seems that when I turn, the whole plate moves. It also shortened my upper lenth a little and now front driveshaft is at a horrible angle. I'm sure I can adjust my uppers out a few turns at each end or I guess just make some new ones, so no big deal there.

Mostly worried about the flex from the front plate and ripping stuff off when in a binded steering situation.

Does the plate flex or the mounts?

My mounts flex some, but they havent broken off yet.

I can't remember off hand if the BWD has the provision or not, but if you look at the axlehousing, you will see two holes on a flat portion of the axle top. Typically, you would run a set screw (like the ones used for the upper and lower links) partially into one ofthose holes, and then mount a standoff to that set screw, and then run a flat head screw down through the servo plate, into the standoff.

I don't think the LW plate has that hole pre-drilled, but if you look at soome other plates, like the VP version, you will said hole.

Here's a pic showing a servo plate with a standoff to support it.

I would Scorpion but I am running the hidden tie rod where it goes between the plate and the axle between the mounts.
