<< The NATS WINNING Sporty That I Stole From Nabil >>

Yup...Jabil Namali...The Champion of Everything...THAT guy got jacked for his Nats KILLING 2.2s rig & I have some secret spy photos of the culprit.

http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3b5fd39c.jpg

I can tell y'all this...in the mortal words of Gwen Stefani...this rig is B-A-N-A-N-A-S. Nutty cuckoo. Loco from Acapulco. I'm blown away by how well this thing works & the fact that he finished building it the night before Nationals & SLAYED the competition is even more nuckin futs.

Here's a few shots of her on the random blue granite formations around the house. I DID have to personalize it by switching out the green for my purty red stuff & hot rod flames. I knocked out a mucho quick lid so nobody got confused & thought Nabil suddenly forgot how to drive the thang.

Okee doke...now that the ALWAYS needed cool crawl shots are outta the way...lets get to the jam in this here samich.

She weighs in at a WHOPPING 4lbs 2.4oz. Bias is at about the middle of the front link ends...just past the skid. VERY well balanced rig & the weight feels spot on. This Nabil fellar MIGHT just know what he's doing & he'll be one to watch for sure. We can expect GREAT things from Mr. Jamali.

http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/...ps806eb93b.jpg

Sweet rig...definitely works like a dream...just wish I got to see it driven more at Nats! Do you have a side shot of it with the body off?

Sick rig! He certainly put a whoopin on us with it...what else is new though LOL

How the hell is this rig 4lbs-2.4oz. with that balance point? That seems ultra light and I don't see many parts that are different.

Damn, you guys need some rain out there....that grass looks a little dead.

Oh yeah, the truck looks good too! You'd better bring some spare tranny gears to BotW. "thumbsup"

Dude...I HAVE NO IDEA. I haven't torn it down yet because...well why the hell WOULD I when it works so well & so far, I've only broken a CV pin? BUT...I plan too soon. Nabil has some voodoo mojo goin on or something but yeah...she's a feather.

We had a little bit of rain but definitely not enough to turn the mountains green...& I'm good with that. It actually snows up here & I don't like snow. Snows cold. BRRRRRRR.

I DO have a spare trans built with hardened gears but until I see an issue...I'll stick with the lightweight plastics fer now. Tryin to jinx me already Hank?

Not too hard to believe! I'm at 4lbs 5.76oz and I'm running a VP trans case and the Robinson steel idler gear and the Robinson 1 piece bottom gear

On a side note...I'm still trying to figure out why the hell the front upper links are always offset with this chassis...look at the gap between the upper links and the shocks side to side...mine is the same way along with a few others I've looked at. This one even has a different axle mounted upper link mount than I run too.

Definitely not! "thumbsup" Just that rock looks a LOT less forgiving than the rock at LRC...

I agree...of all the comps I've been to...local and large scale I've seen more carnage at LRC than anywhere else. Although I heard that the Rox Box was pretty hard on rigs...but that's not natural rock...

Yeah...I noticed that too & haven't really tried to figure it out yet but found it odd.

Yeah, after thinking about it, I do still have quite a few piggy parts on mine. Still rocking piggy steel lockers, super 300's, robinson gears, MIP shafts...oh, and Sedonas w/ mem foams. Holy hell, I could probably drop that thing into the 3's if I wanted too!! :lmao:

Pretty sure thats just an optical illusion in these pictures. The pics arent straight up and down. It could also be that the wheels are turned, so it's slightly articulated. I dunno...

I'd like to see pics of your rig Ryan to see what your talking about though.

I know those pics he posted may be messing with them a little...but this IS an issue with this chassis setup...I'll look through my thread to see if I can find a good shot...

Re: << The NATS WINNING Sporty That I Stole From Nabil >>

Thanks for posting this JD

The lower link holes aren't lined up on some of the skids. When I was building the truck I noticed one sideplate sat forward of the other. With that being said, I know my truck is square and all the links matchup in pairs. I had to swap skids to make that happen though. I think its just an optical illusion in the pic, or I might have different sized spacers between the shocks and sideplates

As far as weight goes, there was no effort put into making the truck light. It's still got steel hardware, aluminum wheels, some steel hollow balls, and a bunch of other heavy parts. I'm sure I can have it around 3.5 pounds with very little effort. Just between wheels and a motor swap I should be able to shave 6 ounces off the truck. Both of which are sitting at my house waiting for the truck to return

That was my first guess. It's not hard to have that happen when your drilling the holes by hand or even with a drill press.

Yeah...this rig is just a loaner cause Nabil's my besty-4-eva ;-)

Seriously though...Can't thank The Champion of Everything enough. It was HUGE of him to offer up his rig until I get mine finished. Cool cat for sure. He might live in a whales vagina but a no talent hack he is not!!! :flipoff:
