Let's breathe some life into this thread.

After suffering from a half year total lack of interest towards crawlers I am beginning to see the light again. So I decided to build myself a Shafty for the summer.

I have started building the front axle. The other night I made a delrin test piece of a splined reinforcement tube for the SCX10 axle. I was surprised it turned out well.

Encouraged by the delrin test piece I today made one out of brass, which I think also turned out fine. One more tube and I have a front axle.

Hey Tomy!

Good to hear you're back!

It has been a bumpy ride of a year for me too... but your comeback gives me some sprint

I was thinking of you yesterday as I'll be in Helsinki tomorrow

Have a nice day in Helsinki. Should be a nice sunny day tomorrow. I live 300km north of Helsinki, so we are not likely going to meet in the street.

Nice quality with the beef tubes Tomy!

It's awesome to see you enjoying the spring via coming back to crawlers. I hope we'll see at the comps during the summer allthough you hate my shafty.

Thanks, Samu.

Perhaps by time I'll get used to the idea of a MOA shafty.

Thanks all for the warm welcoming.

Axles are now ready. It's time to start working on chassis. I've been doing some reading on a few caribbean chassis's. I hope to work out something similar.
