Let's breathe some life into this thread. After suffering from a half year total lack of interest towards crawlers I am beginning to see the light again. So I decided to build myself a Shafty for the summer. I have started building the front axle. The other night I made a delrin test piece of a splined reinforcement tube for the SCX10 axle. I was surprised it turned out well.  Encouraged by the delrin test piece I today made one out of brass, which I think also turned out fine. One more tube and I have a front axle. Nice quality with the beef tubes Tomy! It's awesome to see you enjoying the spring via coming back to crawlers. I hope we'll see at the comps during the summer allthough you hate my shafty.  |

Thanks all for the warm welcoming. Axles are now ready. It's time to start working on chassis. I've been doing some reading on a few caribbean chassis's. I hope to work out something similar. |
