Default SuDu One - 2.2s / Sportsman chassis

I finally had some time to start build myself a SuDu One Sportsman rig.

This chassis is designed by Douwe Zeinstra and I have been fortunate to get the chance to work on the chassis together with him. If there is interest, this chassis will become available to the public later on.

Douwe is doing his build around the 2.2s version of the chassis. I decided to do my build as a bodiless design fit for the Sportsman class.

This is what I managed to do today.

And a pic with the tranny installed.

The bodiless chassis weighs 79g. My version of the chassis has lower chassis plates in 2mm cf and topper in 1.5mm cf. The lower chassis can well be made in 1.5mm cf also, I just did not have that available for the lower plates.

Next up will be links and axle mock up.

Good work!
If you send us a losi tranny
I think the link geometry needs to change also for a losi tranny.. But don't trust me on that one, never drove a losi ;)

It looks very different from the dutch version with the bodyless cab and the front hood section added. Still very nice though

Yea, the look really changed. The bodiless design is sort of ugly, sort of sweet.

But I also like it and think it will look great once mounted on a set of axles. Will have to pick up some 4 and 5mm stainless rod for the links tomorrow. Douwe used all my titanium.

I'm sorry guys.

I still need to make a link set before I can continue. Hope to get something done during the weekend.

Thanks for kicking my butt, though.

One thing on this.. You have to use a long rear driveshaft ;)

Junfac has one... Hardened Universal Shaft (120-155mm) 5mm hole [J90034] : JunFac.com

120-155mm lenght
