This is looking great so far. Could you possibly extend and mount your front upper links to attach to the front battery/servo plate? Then you could squeeze all the electronics above the front driveshaft/below the upper links

I have thought about this, and may do it down the road. I have alot of decisions to make, but for now I got a quick fix till I can sit down and play with it some more.

For now, I got a BTA link on the bottom and a crazy steering link up top lol.

This is only 6061 solid rod, so it probably won't hold. However, I needed something quick and this was it I do get full steering lock to lock, and the fubar wheels are sick!

6061 is plenty strong enough for that.

Hoping so

The RTR Weight is 4lb 1oz. Obviously if I fixed that front servo to some lighter material I could easily hit the high 3lb mark

The belly may be alittle high, but I did some minor testing and this rig is pretty stable as it sits. So I'll try it tomorrow and see what I think.

Servo all tucked in

Opted to put the electronics on the links for now.

And the ghetto mounts

Body sits nice and low, may rub alittle bit. We shall c. At least I didn't have to make new holes

I must say this is my favorite rig now. I do have some issues to fix, but I just can't be happier.

The suspension has some issues, I just need some tuning time. It doesn't want to settle the way I want it, but I feel I can fix this. Secondly, the steering sucks because I'm an idiot. I switched to Axial's XR knuckles to get the link where I need it, but I did not even think about the fact they aren't 0* ackerman, and it steers like a damn bus on the rocks. I'll be putting my VP 0* ack knuckles back on asap.

Aside from that, I managed to finish every course at this weekends state comp and finished in 2nd behind SDS. If you haven't built a sporty and are thinking about it. I highly suggest doing it! The fun quickly gets brought back into driving.

I got the wheels from MT HEAD, send him a pm. You need your own hardware, and need to make your own spacers, but the price is right and yes, they take VP SLW hubs.

Thank you, I am sending the money to him tomorrow I am getting a set of four just like yours, and your right it is an amazing deal! I think I will be ordering another set of wheels soon for a different set of tires, because of the price.

Ideally, I have like 4 different sportys I want to build now, but no dollars

What size screws are u using for the hubs with those wheels? And what did u use for the spacers inbetween the rings? Thank you!

I drilled and retapped the VP hubs for 3mm screws and used 3/16 aluminum tube from MC-master that I cut and then tapped to size

Are those wheels non beadlocks? The rings have to be glued to the tires right?
