I really haven't ever tuned this rig. I put it together, guess on everything and so far its handled very well. I've changed the front steering a few times. A 4 link may be better, however I haven't tried it on this rig to compare.

After going with the zero ack arms, my steering is slightly crashing my servo and battery. Its bothering me so I have some ideas to fix it which may entail a 4 link, I just haven't gotten that far yet ;P

Thanks, its by far my favorite rig. I've driven it only at comps and have yet to practice with it. My 6th place at West coast shootout was my 6 or so battery pack in the rig

You too, always nice to do the hand to hand transaction! Can't wait for the next one.

Chris sent me a set of aluminum side plates and they arrived today. I also have a set of SDS HD shafts sitting here for this rig, but before I do anything I have to decide what I want to do with the front. The easiest route by far is a wraith front axle. However, I want to tinker with what I have and try something out of the box. It probably won't work, but thats the fun part

Subscribed!! Looking good, I am (or was) looking for decent shafty chassis, but I think I have found one!!! I am wondering what length lower links are you running?

Sorry I missed this post. I'll try to get some measurements next time I'm in the shop.

I managed to finally take the win at our state comp yesterday with this rig.

However, it still has some issues. I don't have nearly as much steering as I should. Due to my setup, I had to space the steering link far down from the knuckle. These spacers are acting like a steering stop and not allowing it to steer to its full potential. Sad part is, I'll need to redo the front end. I really don't want any pieces up front, but running out of ideas.

I like this build. You've got a cool chassis and the setup looks like it is working for you. How much weight are running up front to get it to settle down?

Big huge thanks to Sourdojack for helping a brother out. Work has me swamped and I just haven't had time to get all these awesome parts installed, and he gladly stepped up to help me out.

The rear axle got updated with some of the switch hubs and one of Nordic Crawlers rear 4 link mounts

The front got a killer new steering setup including new links, and Nordic Crawlers front plate

Tom has also been hiding a shafty chassis for sometime. It features alot of link geometry characteristics as my old berg rock logic chassis but catered to a shafty. This was a prototype cut alittle on the thick side. Being that everything is in double shear we plan to cut more out of .60 aluminum.

Tom has been my savior on this build. If it wasn't for him, this sporty would be MIA till last minute! Last night he took apart the trans and put the heavy robinson gear to the mill, finished up the skid plate and got it in nearly kit forum. The shocks need the rod end mod, and I need to cut longer knuckle arms and this bad boy is ready for electronics.

Thank you. Hubs are perfect, cost effective and lighter to boot. I would highly suggest them!

I didn't take any pictures of milling the gear down.

But here is the one I did a couple years back. Original weight is 46 grams. It got cut in half to 23g.

Who wants to offer that service for us? I know I've got a gear here that could use the lightweight treatment!

Got the electronics mocked up. They will get a nice dose of Urethane conformal coating and plasti-dip for our Oregon weather
