The answer about the question to the torque twist will be very interesting.

Thank you for your comments

For the torque twist, I have some a little but I must re-examine the adjustment of the shocks and the upper link geometry.
It is only a first prototype to check that the idea is viable and to test, but it functions already very well (for the moment ).

Yep, I have a formation of applied art (with architecture and design)

That pleases me that you say that. I always tested with more or less of success making a maximum of part and trying to find new solutions. It is today much easier with CNC and 3D printing, and to people like Tomy which offers very good service.

Just to laugh, one of my first to crawl here, the Crawler'Pillar !!! Most expert will recognize wheely king axle and trany

I like also much the top of the frame. I test it since more than one month and it resists very well.

Is the roof panel fitted into slots in the cross brace?

HI,

Thus I could make some tests. First assessment that functions very well. I have to make some modifications on the position of the rear lower and upper links and the shock on the axle.
some pics in the natural habitat of the rig

To prevent that the axle hang, I have just to add a plastic sheet to round the shape of the axle, as a result that does not block more!!

I replaced the 2 halfshafts by only one length shat. That makes it possible to align the various elements of the axle well so that it functions correctly.
I made the new shaft with a steel stem of 5mm, that functions well, but it weighs very heavy: +40g It will quickly be replaced by one in titanium
I have also to remake my parts in delrin, they are placed at the end of axle and serve as bearing. The delrin is very well for this application, it is car lubricated and resists very well in time.

Now, it turns very well, even better than with the AR60 axle

Good Work Stephane

Go for a AL Tube Shaft on the rear that should turn our around 10-20g for the shaft

Hi,

I make a new support of rear lower links

Now the rod ends of the link and shock are well in the axis and function perfectly freely some is the movement.

For the fixing of the shock absorber on the frame, I use a old tip (found in this forum), a head of pastic shaft to offer more freedom of movement to the rod ends.

New rear upper link

*
And much of work on the position of the shock and the rear upper links…
After much of tests, the rear axle functions very well, they are cool

Super cool stuff man.

That's a really good idea with the shock mount.

Acts as a stand-off, and doesn't add any extra length to the shock.

Your axle is turning out very awesome.

Can't wait to see the next post, and the one after that, and the one after that.........

You always amaze me with the stuff you do! Is there any plans of a front axle to match?

I look forward to all of the innovation and design that you put into your projects. I think you must be a mechanical engineer.
