Default The "Un Stuck" Sporty!

So here is what it started out as. Really rough and ugly. I ran this chassis for a year and a half now with good results.

But I wanted to bring it to life so I reached out to Robbob (told him not to laugh) with the idea but it needed to be fixed up, cleaned up and a Krazed touch put to it. So I sent it to the Krazed Builds lab…and here it is, the new “Un Stuck” Chassis from Krazed Builds. Showed up last night along with my smash plate and this thing looks awesome. Rob designed to skid to work with a Hulksta transmission or an Axial transmission.

Specs for my new ride:

Front Axle:
SCX/AX10 Axle housing
Creation Fab Brass/Delrin tubes
Custom Smash Plate
VP Wraith C’s
VP Wraith Knucks
RCBros Knuckle weights and Holders 2.2oz per side
Axial 36/14 OD Gear
Axial XR Universal Axle Shafts
Grip Fab Locker
AVID Bearings
TI Drag link and tie rod

Rear Axle:
SCX/AX10 Axle Housing
Duuuuude Link Mount
Creation Fab Aluminum/Delrin Tubes
Axial 43/13 UD Gears
VP XR10 width Axle Shafts
Grip Fab Locker
AVID Bearings

Transmission:
Hulksta
Axial XR10 Internal Gears
AVID Bearings

Chassis / Suspension:
Krazed Builds "Un Stuck" Chassis
Custom Krazed Builds Delrin Skid & CF Adaptor plate for Hulksta Trans
Aluminum Cross Members
Egressor Shocks with Mini T springs and Jeepindoug spring cups
30wt Shock Fluid F&R
Gunnar body Mounts
TI Links all around
Traxxas Max Shafts

Electronics:
Holmes 30T Flow Motor
Castle Micro Sidewinder ESC
Hitec 7950 Servo
Castle 10A BEC
Futaba RX
Futaba 4PL

Rolling Stock:
Crazed Builds 3pc Snowflake CF Wheels
225 Hubs rear
850 Hubs Front
Ottsix VooDoo Tires. (Narrowed & Trimmed)
6”CI DD CC Foams (Narrowed)with soft ring up front and med ring out back

My Box O' Parts. Some New Some Old

So first thing I wanted to do was get the trans installed and make sure it all lined up.

Fit perfectly

Thats all I got done last night. Hoping to get the axles buttoned up tonight.

It was def a fun project and cant wait to see it brought to life and the tweaks and changes we can do along the way.

Gonna be a game changer in a lot of aspects to the 2.2S class Im thinking .

Good start, I'm going to be very interested to see what your motor and pinion combo will be for this build. I'm currently working on a 2.2 trail rig project utilizing a Hulksta Standalone gearbox and can use some schooling. Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks Stormin. Im running an OG Holmes Flow but the pinion size escapes me. I'll have to take a look and get back to you on that.

I got the smash plate installed.

Had to clearance the case a bit to make the servo sit nicely and installed the servo

Got my home made electronics tray on there too.

Hopefully get it to roller status this weekend

Looks like a lot of caster, is there room to run the steering link above the driveshaft?

There is a little more caster than I'd like because of the BTA steering but its not too bad. Oh and BTW I'm running a 20T pinion.

No room to run the link above the drive shaft. And don't mind the long *ss screws. Thats on my list of things to do

Well I got it all linked up this weekend.

I got my drag link mocked up. Anyone who saw the first one will think this is an improvement. Now i need to order a TI link to bend up

AND It's a roller.

Gonna try to get the electronics installed tonight and tie up some loose ends. BUT i couldn't wait. Tossed everything else on there including a battery. This should be really close the RTR weight.

Thanks For Looking

are those the upper link spots and angles you ran on the original chassis? just curious.

got mine powered up the other night and was very impressed with how it felt just on my makeshift practice spot at home.

Yup same positions. I am 2nd hole down front and back. I figured I would start with them in the original positions and see how it handles.

Nice! I saw that you were 2nd down in front and 3 down in rear. Is that the way your still running? Once I get it rolling we will have to compare notes

To start I am but my rear links are on top of the rear plate so theyre a little more parralell with the ground I think. Just habit for me.

Once the other tester gets his rolling I wanna watch where you guys settle in on your links so I can tweak around that.

I hear you, its busy behind the front axle. Your moving quickly on a weekend deadline and its looking good. Thanks for the pinion info. I'm currently running a 18t and the motor gets barely warm but the wheel speed is a bit slow.

Good luck with the new rig.

Hey Travis. Ya I did all of the figuring out while i was building and testing so except for the new axle tubes most of it went right back together with the new CF parts. Yup Im liking the weight. Dropped 2oz from the original so far but i'll see how it does.

Well its been a busy week but I got the electronics installed and it lives. I had to make an ABS extension to my E tray so that everything would fit nicely and still have room for the drag link. Also added some 5mm external limiters to the front shocks to keep the brace's from smashing down onto the electronics. Probably could use a little more but I will start there.

With everything installed and a little tweaking. Im sitting at 2 7/8 at the front of the skid.

A Dlux package showed up with my link sliders (Installed) and VP came thru super fast with my TI link. Time to finish the steering, make up a battery tray and give it a shakedown run. Gonna try to work out any bugs before our comp next weekend, BUT if not...... I'll run it anyways
