I love it. From all around the world you guys are creating some really sick builds.

Keep up the great work guys, lets keep this super-fun class going strong

I have a feeling this will be the big class. With no viable production 2.2 MOA crawlers, everyone is gonna have to go back to shafty.

I stopped caring about comp rigs when MOA became the norm. Might have consider building a shafty seeing as there is serious interest in it again

All you need is the XR10 axle housings, the rest is made by a supporting army of hopup making garage workshops

Most people on here know that 1.9 is my favorite class, but with it becoming less popular, my hope is that the 2.2 shafty rigs will continue to grow strong. I'm really excited about building my 2.2S because after-all, they're just grown up mini's, right?

We are also following this policy in Italy, after many years of only moa is time to change or add this new category, the main motivation is in any case to reduce costs with the prospect that more and more users come back to drive the crawler.

2.2 Shafty is one excelling class, very fun and very competitive. It really deserves to be developed.

The only thing I would like to see body and bodiless running in the same class. I just don't understand what advantage one has over the other. Seems to be a personal thing more then anything else....maybe if I had a long history in this sport I would have a different mind set about the whole thing but I have only been comping since Moa's became the thing...I do favor the 1.9 class and am looking forward to getting a 2.2s going. I just don't like the whole fancy painted body thing and needing to remove the body to get the battery in and out and messing with those dang body clips anyway I guess I will shut up now

I pefer shafties over moa because I think it is a more fun class. Dont get me wrong I might build a moa super one day. As for the body vs bodiless I think it is more personal preference. I like a well done shell on a crawler. But not the over done paint jobs.

I have to admit my new 2.2 shafty is becoming one of my fav trucks to drive. Our problem is we have a thriving scale class, 1.9, 2.2 with so many comps. Need to figure out when we can slip in the 2.2 shafty class into the mix. Lots of stuff to figure out over the next few weeks.
