Cool thanks Jan

Some insane sidehilling … Drove it in of the ledge behind, she would cling on just fine but I couldn’t stick this and drive out … there is a small ledge, I think it can be done ... next time I will try again ... lol

This ended up taking a nasty fall, no damage luckily

Last set pics off today's crawling … I always like a good downhill run …

And some oversight pics of my favorite crawl spot, it is about a half hour drive away. It is not real rock but as the Netherlands is not famous for rock I feel real lucky to have this …

It may not be natural rocks you have there but it still looks like a great playground. Congratulations on the build and getting it on the rocks. I would not have the patience

It is located in recreational park "Spaarnwoude". If you look in google maps for "snowplanet velsen-zuid" you will get the right location

All is going well with the SuDu, no problems at all .... MAN, I LOVE THIS RIG !! The chassis and linksetup is really awesome and drives very well, to be honest she is by far my favorite rig right now I got the same exciting feeling about this rig as when I first stepped up from shafty to moa ...

Minor tech update: The loaner servo will return to my partsrig, now installed is a new 7950. Stepping up the game a little bit by adding 6 kg/cm of force to the steering Now to get a new RX to so I can use my 4PL ...

Another minor update ... I just finished installing a smaller E-tray I received from Tomy this week .

The smaller one I drew up is about 20 mm shorter then the stock NCD E-tray to better suit my layout. Useable mounting surface is retangular 36 x 45 mm ... after placing the electronics back I noticed it could have been even shorter

Truck looks like it works real nice in the pics. My ringer is setup very similar but i will be changing the front driveshaft to mip. I bet over the last month, I have snapped atleast a half a dozen front wildboar driveshafts. I dont get any twisting before snapping either, it just snaps clean in an instant, and always while upside down. This has been a very well thought out build thread with a lot of good information and pics. Thanks for taking the time to post it all and hope to see some running video.

Your driveshaft failures, have they been in the splined section of the male half? Many of us have epoxied aluminum or carbon tubes or rods inside that section to beef them. Would that have helped in your case?

Yes, the splined section. I thought about trying that driveshaft mod but with the severity of the instant breakage, I just dont trust it.

Quick question, I've tried my Google-Fu at finding a site for NCD or a webshop that offers the E-tray you're mentioning, just to see what it is... and apparently my Google-Fu is weak.
Does NCD have a site, or is there any site I can check the products they're offering ?

Minor update again ...

Went crawling last saturday at the location shown in the pics above, it was the rematch for my buddys rig which is now a BWD SSS-R. He was really stoked after finding out his rig could follow mine on much more climbs as before ... Way more fun he said ... Now I am starting to tease him with the lack off steering on his stock axles ...

I ran six 450 packs this time, because I did not bring more. Running out off juice ended the crawling, next time I bring all eight with me. Still no single issue with the SuDu, though I popped the right upperlink off the ball at the axlemount.

During cleanup I noticed some tire damage. In the shaving proces of the tires I cut the big lugs with lexan scissors first. I made one cut to deep and had to glue a piece back in. It was the front tire and on the inside as well. Rubbing of the tire was loosening the edges off the glued in piece. I had to change it to the rear and reglue the edges. While switching foams and hubs front to rear I decided to change to a narrower setup, wheels are now .8" wide.

I got a small update planned for my SuDu which will shed some weight for sure. I will probably add the weight to the knuckles cause I like the weight as is right now. Current RTR weight 1704 gram.

During the build I collected some parts I did not install yet, I still have two shiny new Grip-lok V1 spools and a whole bunch aluminium revo balls ... AND ... I was able to order a new RX for the 4PL so I will redo my electronics as well
