I'll have a set of both shocks ready for it, when I get the chassi thanks
Good luck here in Cali I hope the chassi does well for both of you! But if one does better, I'm sure they will do great, but if not we know what parts to blame! The shocks, hahaha
Thanks anyways and good luck again! Best of luck!

I'm sure I'll be right at home seeing I live here. Should be fun.

No worries.
The Sidewinder ESC has a good drag break. You need the Castle link to program it up to 213% crawler break but it works just fine. I have a Holmes Hobbies BRXL that I will install after the comp along with another 35T motor. I just ran out of time so I installed the setup from my Honcho to get it running. With the limited testing I have done so far, the setup works but the motor lacks a little bit of torque.

I am running Crawler Innovations closed cell foams in the front (5.5" soft outers) and stock Rover foams in the rears. So far so good with this setup.

I was waiting for someone to say something about the body.. I have since lowered it almost another 3/8" from these pics by removing some of the spacers from the body mounts. I am happy with how it sits now while allowing room for the servo and battery to flex up when articulating. I'll have some better pics this weekend.

I cheated and just mounted my body an inch or two back from center

Don't be giving away all my secrets!!!
Now when I win this Friday the new fad will be to mount your body offset like I did because it helps with coefficient drag and the variable valve timing of the suspension ergonomics.

Asshole!

Back from the West Coast shootout after a tireing weekend of "fun"! Unfortunately the weekend didn't turn out quite how I had hoped (from a results standpoint) but the event was a big success. Our resident photog Josie wasn't able to get around to take any action shots of my sporty before my day was cut short. After two good courses to start the day and on my way to third, this little snapolla ended my day.

The front output shaft on the tranny sheared right off and took me out of the running. The truck was working really well up until that point and I was bummed that the day was over. Setup wise, I'm pretty close on it. I'm going to mess with the link placement just a bit and turn down the drag break slightly to help the rear settle a bit on decents. I do have to upgrade a few parts to try and avoid breakage again but other than that, I'm keeping it easy and fun with this one.

I've never driven in snow before so that made the day a lot more interesting for sure.

Yep! I just didn't have the time before the comp to get upgraded ones in there. Any suggestions on a replacement?

That's a very tough unit, but it's the heaviest option.
