Default Saydee's Sporty

Last month I wan't to get more drive time at our local comp so I threw together some parts I had to make a sporty.

It was a bast!!! First Course my rear four link came of the axle. I didn't take a repair just said screw it and drove. It did great. But after I got home it hit me.

I am building a real Sporty. I loved this sportsman class.

Chassis:VP Incision Chassis MOA mod to fit trans
Transmission: Axial ax10 transmission with Robinson Racing gears
Shocks: Axial SCX10 with JeepinDoug caps. Losi Blue and Green springs
Axial: Axial AR60
Front RCP locker Overdrive and Tube Vanquish Chub Vanquish Wraith Knuckles
Rear Die-Laughing spool Underdrive Vanquish Lockouts
Driveline: Axial wild boars
Links: Rear Wraith Vanquish ti lowers all rest Ti straights.
Wheels: DE Racing with 335 front 225 rear.
Tires: Shaved Losi Claw

Dinky servo mount
Rowdy Racing Lipo Tray.

Front still needs the good gears

I know, I know.....

Didn't need to after I mounted these DE Racing. Front is sitting at 10.875 Rear is 10.5. For now I think that should be fine.

and kinda nervous.

I almost just sent you my narrow stuff, and used your uncut axles. I narrowed mine, and really wish I had not. I ended up going with a wider hex to get the width I wanted. The biggest reason I did it was the axle plates were made for narrowed axles. Otherwise, I think with a reasonably offset wheel, you are OK.

Mine with 3 piece Ytc wheels and .225 hubs came out the same width as my xr. My xr is as wide as I would want to be and keeping them both the same width helps when going back and forth between rigs. I have heard people say full width ar axles sidehill like a mfer but are hard to squeeze through gates. Like anything else in this hobby do what works for you and makes you happy.

Plus you have access to all the goodies. I bet you can go did in Krawl's garbage and find better stuff than I can buy at any store.

I am happy so far

Steering insane.

Looks like you'll have fun with that truck. I was just looking at an old C10 to throw on my new build too.

At first I didn't think my truck was too wide with full width Wraith axles, but at the WCS it was a tad too wide. And I had skinny wheels DNA wheels. It was stable as hell but just a bit to wide to navigate some sections. The width didn't kill my day though.
