Looking cool so far.

Man whoever made that chassis does some nice work by hand. Almost looks CNC if the pics were blurry

I know a place that sells these cool tubes that have splines so your caster wont move on you. Theyre perfect also for the anorexia phase since they are so light. Maybe you should be one of the cool kids and get some of those

I went with the steel just for some weight up front, but if I run into any issues I will be hitting you up for sure.

And yes the chassis is SICK. To be completely honest I can't really tell it was handcut. Vuurry nice job batt.man

Thanks dave. I gotta put it into overdrive, between 12-14hr days at work, tuning the minimal and working on this thing it's gonna be tight trying to get it ready for the comp.

Then again. I do have an OLDSCHOOL circa.2007-08 toy sitting here on the work bench I plan on bringing. I can GUARANTEE there won't be another one like it out there

Hey umm so you going to get rid of those Shock reservoirs? I know they look soo good on there but still think of how much weight that adds up high... But seriously you can just cut them off with wirecutters and than sand them down...

Truck is looking killer! So you going to make Jay Dee make a video of it when it's running

It is looking good Steve. Im looking at the trans and when you put the motor in will the motor be sitting pretty high up in the air due to the skid angle? Im picturing turning the trans around so the motor is forward and down low. Is it possible to swap side plates and try that?

Ya I'm actually going to try mirroring the trans here as soon as I can get some uppers made. With the CI outputs it actually puts the yolk of the drive shaft right in the line of of the upper link holes and where I planned on bracing the chassis.

The motor and Trans will sit fine once he gets the shocks limited a bit. That chassis is very short vertically so it makes the trans/motor assembly look much higher than it really is.

I really I thi k we want an 75-80mm shock OAL. I the scx bodies will be easy to modify for the shorter length and I found a nice selection of "drop in" shock shafts that are shorter to keep everything proportional. I just need to do a little math to pick the right setup.

I ran the brace between the holes above the upper link locations where the longitudinal CF brace bolts on. The chassis has a lot of meat in the upper link area and will not require bracing between the upper links.
