Default Fester's SuDu

After promising myself I would do a build thread for my CC-01 & Wraith and failing miserably I thought I best do one for my 2.2 Crawler build.

The plan is to build a capable crawler without breaking the bank Initially I want to keep it simple using as much from my donor SCX as I can, start out with a good base and build from there.

Here is a quick teaser shot of the Nordic Crawler Designs SuDu Chassis

Parts liberated from my SCX

Axles have OD,UD and CVD's

Please bare with me on this one for a short while as I collect all the parts I need for the build.

Nice start. Put a little spacer below the tranny. This way the motor won't touch the chassis.

I have not forgotten about this guys, just waiting on parts, sucks to be in England when most of the good stuff is made in the USA, Gunnar body mounts have been ordered along with Vanquish stage 1 kit and a few odd and sods should be a rolling chassis very soon.

I quickly assembled the SuDu so I could mock up the top links while waiting on the VP stage 1 kit, decided to go with the V2 side plates and I'm using Gunnar spacers.

Thanka , The plan is stock width for now, trying to keep it simple and the cost down as it's my first 2.2 crawler, I will run it this summer maybe enter a few comps and see how I get on with it, no doubt there will be a SuDu 2.0 build at the end of the summer . I was lucky enough to try out a few rigs last weekend I was surprised how addictive it is compared to scalers I'm really hooked now

I understand ... BUT ... imo it is the best mod you can do to the AX10 (front) axle ... WAY MORE steering angle

When you get it done you will probably regret not doing it sooner ....

No sell the Wraith ... you can use it as a donor for a sporty build The XR10 is going to eat your wallet .... I suggest hiding it

Just fitted the VP stage 1 kit and custom beef tubes, ignore the wheels and tyres there off my wraith.
