Default Its been awhile..

So its been awhile since Ive been on here, had to many RC dreams but not enough money so I did other things. But Ive had a job for a couple months now and having recently gotten an $800 paycheck I walked into my LHS, and walked out with this for $275. Only needing a battery and a radio.

Its got a few upgrades, Tekin ESC, Novak 55t motor, DIG unit. And when I was putting my radio in I noticed This little set up, that Im not familiar with...

The blue thing ties into the capacitor on the battery wires, and plugs into the bind plug on my receiver. What is it? Is this set up for LiPo? Being a novice I dont think Im ready for LiPo yet. Thanks for any help guys and gals!

It is a Castle creations BEC it's good to have it helps make the power to your receiver and servo constant so you won't have glitching where the servo jumps and shakes, plus if you decide to put a lipo in up to 3s you are all set just plug it in and go!

I second the welcome back!
I just picked up the same rig off my brother without any of the goodies you have. Nice find for a good price.

Thanks! I was suprised with it as well. The owner had just left it with the hobby store for them to sell, and I was told it didnt come with a radio. But I get it apart and it has the 3 channel reciever, but no remote. I will probably run it like it is for awhile, but I cant stand the ugly body so I will most likely be putting a jeep comanche body on it, maybe 1.9s, and switching the gearbox around so the dig is on the front, so I can effectively have 2hi RWD :P
