Great driving today B! It's a fun spot to get together and do some crawling. Your sporty is coming together nicely! It was cool of you to bring it to show and drool today. Have a great rest of your Sunday! Oh, I'm super excited about those tires. They were working tuff today!

LCC POWER????

Is that politically correct? Sounds mean. This is supposed to be a "friendly" competition....lol

Great driving today Brian. It's not all about the rig your driving.....it's what you do with the rig you are driving.

Unfortunately I am still waiting on the rear shafts to arrive. Once they do I will atleast be able to get this thing to a roller status.

Do you think you will have this rig running by crawltoberfest?

Not likely. Between parts I'm still waiting on and tires I need to finish to hand deliver that weekend, I won't have the time.

Sorry if those tires are throwing a wrench in any wrench time partner. I'm very much looking forward to getting them! With Oct being half way done, I don't see the point in rushing builds for us. We need to move west! WEST I SAY

No worries David. I am with you. I haven't yet and likely won't have a desire to rush this build. When it's finished it will be thought out properly and there should be nothing major I feel needs changed.

Got your gift in the mail today.

Thanks man.

Too bad I'm out of town working all week.

My wife assured me it was top notch stuff.......hahahahahaha........sorry, couldn't keep it together.

My wife had no idea what she was looking at when I asked her to open it.

So after "un" patiently waiting for rear axle shafts, they finally arrived today along with some other goodies.

The axles are CreeperBob titanium shafts. Two short side XR shafts with a 1.5mm longer tang for better engagement of the spool.

I ran into a small problem however in the process of installing them. Just a touch too big in diameter for the Creation Fab tubes.

After tearing down the rear housing, a simple run through the tubes with a 1/4" drill bit, the lip of the shaft "just" cleared. I also replaced the temporary front aluminum uppers with some titanium ones. I borrowed an idea from Haastnooit as well. He is the reason I went with the NCD 4 link mounts to begin with and after taking a look at his setup, I went ahead with an aluminum crossbace between the rear mounts as he did. For some added strength and peace of mind.

Also in the mail was a package from Mr. John Holmes. I had a 27t Torquemaster Sport lying here that was fairly new, so I figured I'd just rebuild it.

Crawlmaster 16t armature and some silver springs to go along with it.

All buttoned up and ready to drop in.

I have a few small things to work out yet, but this thing is getting close to being finished. As of right now, I'm excited to say "it's a roller".

The steering still needs hashed out as well as finalization on driveshaft setup. The body is going off to Crawllife Graphix for some paint and the wiring needs finished also. A couple of minor bits here and there, but overall I'm pleased with how the rig has turned out thus far.

Thank you mail man!

Seems like it came together real fast once the parts you needed came in.

No rush, but it looks like your painfully close to having it ready for Crawltoberfest, whether you intended to or not.....

That would be a fun coincidence.
