I do have some vid, it shows some parts I am not ready to show just yet though. I am hoping for next week, I have some other things to clear and I am struggling to get things done right now. Just too much to do!

When you unveiled the transmission, this board went nuts. Now everyone is making them. Your axle truss will surely be copied. The spring cups have spawned a threaded version. It's not just a lot of work for you Erik... Think about how much work you're creating for the other vendors scrambling to keep up! Have you no consideration? |

It has killed me to not show some parts and it looks like I am late to this show of my own.... Now, the problem is that I either cannot find the pictures I took or I was just so busy trying to not take pictures that I didnt get any. I have had more than 1 person ask me how I was able to get my front axle so narrow. The answer is that I made custom knuckles. With my new knuckles, there are so many possibilities that its crazy. This just adds to the mix. I took the Bully outer and I put 2 - 4mm bearings back to back and cut the knuckle to this width. This made for a knuckle that would be similar in width to a Wraith knuckle and alone, would allow me to run somewhat narrow compared to a standard Bully setup. One of the other sweet parts of the Bully setup is that you can make a much better hub setup for your wheels. With the hub I am using, you could compare it to a 0 size SLW hub, which obviously isnt made but another way to put it is that these would be .225" narrower per side than a setup with a 225 SLW hub on them or .450" overall. Pretty narrow. Since I dont have pics, I will take some from Wheels7 thread since he did such an awesome job on his write up Wheels7 handmade Ultra class car with a DLUX twist Here you can see on Wheels car, we did the same narrow hub setup out of brass. His are 8* and the standard Bully width however. If you take a look below, you can see the original hex pin hole that I cut off and made another further back. |

I did some other mods to the front axle while I was at it. The gear mesh has always bothered me how loose it is and I also wanted a bigger bearing on the pinion. I solved both problems in one step by inserting a 16mm bearing where the old 10mm bearing goes. I also set the depth of the pinion by doing this and tightened up the gear mesh, a lot. Bigger vs. stock smaller |

Oh, and I only used the puny 16mm knuckle bearings for these knuckles. |

So I'm probably just asking an obvious question, but the 16mm bearings just fit in the hole that's already in the housing...no mods?

The new knuckles are pretty cool man. What do they weigh? What's your track width? I can get under 10" to the outside of the wheels with stock or regular aftermarket knuckles on a full width ar60. I'm confused how the new knuckles help make it narrower. It seems like it's the hubs that make it narrower.

With Rovers, I am approx 10.875" overall, I think I was 10.625" with BC? I would need to go back and look. Yeah, youre kinda right on the hubs making it narrower but its only because of the Bully shafts that I am able to make a narrow hub happen so its kinda needing one with the other, does that make sense? | ||

Yeah, the housings look like they are begging for that bearing in stock form.

Man E, in the last couple yrs you and a small handful of vendors have come out with some incredible stuff that's keeps the blood flowing in this little "dying" sport of ours. I thought the transmission was insane, but these knuckle are over the top! Especially for us that like to run our trucks on the plump side. Well done man. |

Thanks man! I agree! When every body puts their heads together its crazy the stuff we can all come up with. Advancement is what keeps me going in this hobby. If our cars never changed and I never tuned anything, I think I would get bored quickly. Wait till you see what I have coming up for these sporties in a couple weeks. Its super simple and it will change the way the sportsman car functions entirely! Pretty cheap too! |
