Everybody might start out different but would eventually end up close to the same. Then the cool part is when somebody comes up with a different idea than the rest and blows their ideas out of the water.

What I really like about supers and what I would really like to see in the hobby again is a personal twist on cars. It would be awesome to have a guy show up with a 7" wide, 12" wheelbase car and compete with a guy who is 9.5" wide and 18" wheelbase. May the best man and ideas win, innovation would rule.
Sounds like fun! Super mini super class

My standby idea of a 1.9 MRC with dig and rear steer is still a solid idea. I just need backing. Seriously though, how sick would that be?
No, but seriously...

Anybody wanna move this thought over to the mini section for some real discussion? I got parts. I got tools. Been looking for a new reason to dig out the mini parts again, this time for something a little different. No comps in my area, but sounds like a great project with the kids. My daughter's 1.9'er is due for a face lift anyhow...

Or ever a SUPAH shafty ... That would be kinda neat ... No dig but rear steer or dig and no rear steer on larger size sporty chassis

I think all classes (1.9 and 2.2) should have rear steer.

Thanks guys! It will be handed off to its new owner at Worlds!

It was a fun build but I think I need a min of 3 channels to have fun in this hobby.

I've definitely got to read on this mini super idea. It's great to hear about another comp class and not about scale expansion. I'm glad that we are trying to bring scale guys to the comp side by having more mixed events. It's just not for me. I will be stoked to see one in person.

For sure!

I hope there is some interest in the mini supers. Its a good cheap way to get into a more technical class. I have seen guys building these cars from old scrap parts and they are going to be competitive.

There is a 16" and a 12" class too so it can be "mini" to "2.2" size.

I know the conversation has been moved but now that I posted that and had a day to think about it, I believe I have seen 1. I didn't get a chance to drive it. Troy would know. It's a dude that shows up to comps once a year. One way or the other, if it isn't scale and looks like a comp rig, I'm stoked.
