Default Diamond's Villian

Ok wanted to get a build thread started on this. I had a very short time to set up this before nats this year. I managed to pull off an 8th place finish with it. It seems to be working very well.
Some of the stats

Y-town Villian Thanks Jeremy
Brood crazy torque cobalt magnet motors Thanks Eddie
BLS157HV Futaba servo
Voodoo's stock Thanks Matt
overdrive underdrive gears
RC bros shock bodies nice and smooth Thanks Will
BRXL
ETC

On to the pics. I will try and update this more often as I am not very good at posting up new things.

8th place without:

Aluminum hardware

Ti uppers
Clapped, slapped, shaved, raved, cut, shut, split, sh!t, patterned, and flatterned tires
Carbon fiber motor mount spacers

Even though I didn't win the series with this rig exactly I wanted to post up the trophy that I came back with for running the west coast series that Skaldidog and Del Monte and Team Debead and Matt from Ottsix. Joel and Jake put a ton of work to put these trophy's together and I am very proud to be bringing this home with me. Thanks you guys for all of your hard work and dedication to this sport.

Not to many changes but I did get my narrowed up voodoo's thanks to hittman and Matt from Ottsix. Pretty excited to get these out on the rocks and test them out. I'm probably gonna put a cut pattern in them sometime this week.

Those narrowed tires look good on there.

Well maybe time for a little update. I haven't really touched this thing for a while now. I had to work on it a bit since I broke my servo ears off last comp. Anyways I have a Hulksta trans on the way and Jeremy cut me out an adapter for that too. So hoping to have that by next comp. We'll see though.

Then I decided to order up a new servo for it and try something different. I picked up a protek 170T from Amain. They seem to be the fastest servo out with the most torque right now. 630in oz of torque at 7.4V and .11sec. They even have another one thats 549in oz of torque at 7.4V and even faster at .7sec. Full aluminum case as well. And it seems to be the same size as the hitec 7950. Not bad for that much torque. Anyways I'm excited to see how they hold up. They feel nice so far. Here are a few pics.

Been looking at this servo since Chris (cboggs) pointed it out to me.
I will be very interested in how this servo holds up.

I need to order a new servo and I think this one might be the one to try.

I have seen these.. But didn't really know how they were. I am interested to see if they are as impressive as they seem.

Keep us updated.

I have been running a 170T for a few months now, so far it has performed excellent. Plenty of grunt and a nice transit time on 7.4v. Has no trouble throwing my 1440g sporty round.

Well Dave, how does that servo feel compared to Futaba 157?

Haven't got it all back together yet. Just got my hulksta trans in yesterday. Should be able to run up to EddieO's tomorrow to scoop up my motor too. I have a comp on saturday so trying to get it back together by then.
The Hulksta trans is nice and smooth though Dan did a killer job making these. Excited to get it back together.

Finally got this thing back together. Got the trans mounted and motor freshened up. Got a comp tomorrow so hopefully I will get some good time on both the new trans and be able to report back on the new servo. Heres a few pics.

Servo has been working awesome. No issues. I actually just put in an order for another one to outfit the berg and I am going to be switching over with the super as well after I sell off a few of my current servos.

Maybe time for a little update on this thing too. We just finished out our season up here and the sporty has been working really well. I placed 1st for the season and 1st for our season finale this past weekend.
The only thing I have changed on it recently is a new servo/ upper link mount and also switched over to Wills (RCbros) burly tubes and other than that just been driving it. A few more changes to come are SDI driveshafts and some TI shock shafts. Hope to get a few pics up later.
