cboggs' 5th D Sucker Punch

I was invited to be a 5th Dimension team driver and received a care package today. I couldnt wait to see this chassis together and wasted no time replacing my old Ringer. Im stoked to get this thing on the rocks soon. Heres a quick run down of the parts list. Big thanks to Travis and Steve at the 5th Dimension for giving me the opportunity."thumbsup"

Looking Good Chris Congrats on being a Team Driver.

Re: cboggs' 5th D Sucker Punch

Looks good mangZ when you have time I think you should consider changing you links to move the chassis forward a bit between the axles. Looks like you shock angles are having to compensate for that difference a bit. But for just slapping it together, it looks like it should run well.

Damn man! Not much going on today? I thought I slapped my trucks together quick:ror:

Re: cboggs' 5th D Sucker Punch

Thanks for the compliments, glad to be part of the 5th D team. There will be some changes soon but for building two cars in one night its pretty close to how I want it. Some tuning in the next couple days will let me know what doesn't work and I'll post up the results of what I find out."thumbsup"

Looking good "thumbsup" nice N low 8) can't wait to fondle it on Saturday  did you get the pro done yet it's been 2 days? :lmao:

Re: cboggs' 5th D Sucker Punch

Ran it today, not changing anything for the comp on Saturday except maybe painting a new body (cracking bad). This car is a great replacement for my old Ringer and performs just as good if not better, very happy with the current set up.

Re: cboggs' 5th D Sucker Punch

Glad to hear it is performing better than a Nats winning chassis design.

Hit up Crawllife if you need some paint work done. Steve and I have both commissioned him to rehash our schemes"thumbsup"

I dig your body mounts can't beat them for the price:thumbup: I used 1/4 20 wind nuts with the wings shaved off of them for a more rounded head and haven't had any issues with taking them off.

We're working on it, Chris. You know how hard it is to get more than 2 people to agree on a date. ;-)

Chevota and myself are putting together a couple of SuckerPunch's. It's a race to see who gets his done first.

Soon hopefully Chris. "thumbsup"
it is something we have been talking about latly

I know there are about 4 or 5 guys interested in coming down.
Being it's only acouple hour drive makes it very easy to do.
I know I want to as well but got some things to work out before I can

Yeah that would be awesome if acouple of you would make the trek up here.

Chris if you guys did decide to come up and needed a place to crash i'm sure we could help out to keep cost down "thumbsup"

I have been talking with teds garage as well about having them come out are way for a comp as well.
It would be cool if we could get everyone up here at the same time for a decent size comp :)

Awesome tranny, its so much smaller and narrower than the old AX10 tranny that was in there before. I still need to shorten the front driveshaft and put in the RCBros gears as soon as they show up. For now Im running lightened stock berg gears. Thanks Barry for the help figuring out the correct combination of gears to use."thumbsup"

That narrowed it up quite a bit. Mind showing a bottom up pic? I'd like to see how the bolt patterns look like.

It bolts up to the stock AX10 tranny bolt pattern using a CF adapter plate and two screws through the bottom of the new tranny.

ClassiCutCustoms 12-01-2013 05:25 PM

Chris,

Wow! That looks really good in there. Glad to hear that you got it working. Baldy called me today raving about how smooth his truck was with the new tranny. Keep me posted on how it feels on the rocks
