I recently had a customer ask for a body mount setup for his Boxer build. I have been making my own mounts for years but I decided to work up something with a combination of the items that have been working for me. I used to use acorn nuts but last summer I was getting hung up on them when trying to flip over by backing up a rock wall. I switched to using a screw instead and that was how it has been since then. I have now added two carbon fiber rings and the bottom side has a pad of foam to keep the body from rattling or paint from getting scraped off. Everything came out so well I decided to make myself a set. With the body mounted it has much more rigidity than my previous setup. Very happy with the outcome...... And very lightweight and smooth on the outside as well.

Hahaha...... Been working in the shop since New Year's and finally got all the orders off the bench! I finally have a little breathing room to get some designs done and build up some stock items before tax refunds hit the market! Lol

Good plan. Won't be long before folks got that money burning a hole in their pocket.

Anything else new on the bench?
