Just to update everyone...... I have 6 Boxers out for testing in various stages of completion. So far results have been very good. I was totally pleased with my truck over the weekend. One was in the hands of a 9 year old kid who couldn't wait for the comp last weekend...... The little fella was counting down the days..... Isn't that what this is about?

I had a call from someone who drove mine at the comp who couldn't stand it any longer...... He ordered a full Boxer kit..... Chassis, Mod Tubes, links, 4 link plates, and electronics tray.

Just a picture for those who don't read..... Lol

an all I can say is berry hit a home run on this chassis guy . it just works .
I pulled my ring apart an just threw this truck together in 1 day untested an threw it on the rocks an it just flat works . I cant wait to try an tune on it to see if it can be made better but I didn't think so. I'm running it as a 50/50 setup witch its not setup for but I can tell you that 50/50 works as well. I need to make some new upper to fit the chassis better an it still did work. I'm very happy with my truck at this point .

way to go berry

My Boxer had a heart transplant this evening..... Took out the stock tranny and old school motor and dropped in my new Bulldog Shafty Tranny and a Team Brood Vapor 30t with the full team treatment done to it. The full swap dropped 23 grams out of the truck. I still have the front drive shaft to put in but here is the two power plants side by side....

Another late night in the lab? Get it Lab? Hahaha...

That looks cool Barry. Can't wait to see how it runs.

Do you have a weight comparison for us yet?

Gary..... Still tweaking the cases. I haven't done any lightening to the gears. I am working on a batch to send out to some team guys and good customers. I was very pleased with what I dropped in my truck last night..... Or should I say this morning I lost 23 grams but some of that is motor and I haven't taken stuff apart for the scale. I was talking to a team guy last night who is tearing down for his swap. He is going to loose about 100 grams with his truck.

Well I have made a few updates to this truck. I have a comp tomorrow and had today off work so I made some good progress. I took off the Big Bores and turned them down and did a polish job.

While I was at the lathe I decided to make a set of 7075 mod tubes. I had clocked my axle and moved my caster and was afraid that the delrin tubes had too many holes to last much longer. The new aluminum tubes are 4g heavier but 20 times stronger. I could have bored them thinner but opted for the greater strength. They also had a fluff and buff...... What you think "King of Polish"? You know who you are...... Lol

Since I have a comp in the morning and I decided that the taped on weight from last time wasn't going back over the pretty shiny mod tubes I designed some weight holders to fit the XR10 / Wraith knuckles and use the Monkey Derby weight I have been using for years. This is what I came up with..... Can use up to 2oz of tungsten slugs per side.

I don't know..... I know I lost 2g with the turning but I didn't weigh them after I put oil back in them. Does that help? I will weigh them tomorrow night if you like?
